  1. Yeah I was opposite way to much carbs hungry constantly. I could eat a meal for 3 then an hour later be hungry and raiding the fridge all night... If I went to a buffet I would eat like 5 plates of food until I was told to leave then 2hrs later I would get a bucket of KFC... I was eating waaaay tooo much carbs fat sugar all the bad stuff that was killing me.. Now I'm rarely hungry. I can watch cooking shows and not even care. RNY was the best decision ever and I'm nearly at my goal already ????????
  2. If you take a break for a week you will then explode like a volcano
  3. Get a headstart; start making changes; lower your carbs.
  4. Yeah I'll be 3 months next week and still have shakes everyday with a little tuna it's definitely helped me lose weight pretty quickly
  5. It will take time for your body to adjust to the diet
  6. I count every single calorie; & proteins/carbs that I eat or drink; I log it in my diary everyday. I've been quite strict on myself have not cheated once. I'm not finished yet I'm trying to get to 180 if possible then get the rower going to tone up&gain some muscle..
  7. LOL I WAS BEING SARCASTIC; having a joke. Relax mate
  8. Bypass is the best decision ever for me I went from 146kgs to 87kgs so far
  9. Just save up now and take unpaid leave for the 3 weeks
  10. BRAND NEW PHOTO... 130LBS DOWN. BEFORE 322 AFTER 192 as of today. 35 years young and single ???
  11. Yeah tasted about 5 brands before I found one I love... I use my own powder with water & shaker cup..tastes like chocolate milkshake
  12. Tons of posts same as yours to have a look at.. I chose for the usual reasons..RNY BYPASS. I wanted the restriction. I wanted the Malabsorption. I wanted the metabolic changes that come with bypassing. I'm rarely hungry maybe I'm lucky that way. I was taken off multiple meds within a week of surgery. I've lost 130lbs in 5 months but I've been quite strict on myself...
  13. Yes on holidays ppl usually push their limits
  14. I'm Aussie too. be careful of the milk it may have sugars. Broth may have sodium. Check sugars and carbs in everything you consume
  15. Wow feeling amazing woke up today another 2lbs gone finally hit my next major milestone. 130lbs gone officially. HW 322 SW 257 CW 192 GW 180/185 130lbs total gone in just under 5 months since I started this journey. With 65lbs since surgery 10/28 ? Going out today to pick up my brand new rowing machine ? Mike.
  16. Picking up rowing machine tomorrow that should really help too ???
  17. And personally I prefer the restriction I'll be 3 months out in a week and I'm still only eating max 3oz tuna at a time or a few slices of ham or 4oz yoghurt; there are still things that come back up... I'm in no hurry to eat big portions; the whole idea of surgery is to limit your portions. So I say you've got a double edged sword mate. Hopefully your weight loss doesn't get affected from all your intake... Also jerky is very salty...
  18. Still need to keep an eye on calories and protein and fat and carbs...
  19. I don't see how or why a band would ever be offered when the RNY is one of the best surgeries available...? A band is old technology with known complications.. I have heard that the bypass can be revised by overstitch to tighten the pouch up if needed... I don't know what the band will do to help if the bypass didn't do it already...
  20. I'll be getting blood test in a couple weeks ?
  21. Definitely overkill-!! I take my B12 1000mcg once a day Calcium 500mcg +vitD 1000mcg 2x a day Multivitamin 2x a day That's all I've been told by my Dr.
  22. Hey there how are we all? Almost one month already gone of 2020! Its been a tough week only managed to drop just 4 lbs; my slowest week yet I believe Well I've been doing a bit of fasting the past few days. As of today I'm now 194lbs ??? ============================== Should be picking up my new rowing machine this week and that should definitely help burn the fat off my belly area lol. Been buying new clothes and it feels great. I feel so happy and excited for the future and this surgery RNY BYPASS was the best choice ever!! Will be going to see my surgeon in a couple weeks for the 3 month post op checkup. Hopefully all my levels are good ? TAKE CARE. Mike.
