  1. Yes it would have been handy to have from the beginning. And no it's really straight forward just uses Bluetooth on your Phone and the app to connect and show the results and it can keep track of all your RESULTS. @Lily66 yes now I've lost all the weight I want to add muscle tone
  2. Thanks was just hoping for responses from ppl and that's great to see since I'm nearly 36.
  3. Update. Had surgery Oct 28. Here's my current stats
  4. Just an update I was October 28th RNY BYPASS current stats below
  5. RNY BYPASS here no complications. Just got my new scales from Amazon. Started at 322lbs
  6. Yeah Amazon is the way to go just ordered these scales didn't have to leave home. First weigh in with new scales it's a habit I weight myself most days
  7. Hello there Mike here I finally got my scales in the mail from Amazon. New fancy Bluetooth RENPHO scales and the first time I've ever seen these kinds of results and measurements before. Would like to know what people think or if there are any medical people here who can explain things??? Much appreciated. This is my lowest weight yet.
  8. Can someone help me interpret these results???
  9. Yea don't stress about exercise just yet mate just take your time getting in your protein and water and relax mate. I started at 322 but by surgery I was 257 and now I'm around 165-168 most days but I had bypass because I knew I needed to lose alot of weight and it has been amazing and I have not done much exercise either it was mostly low calories.
  10. You will eventually be able to eat more food just not for a while but honestly I don't even think about food as much as i used to
  11. Yes that was a big milestone for me being in Australia we also use kilograms but I just convert to pounds being most people here are from USA. Now into double digits ONLY
  12. Well depends on the surgery you have? But now I'm in maintenance mode I can indulge a little
  13. It's perfectly fine to be apprehensive. I just want to share with you my journey I had my surgery 7 months ago gastric bypass surgeon did 120cm. It was the best decision ever and like I hardly crave food anymore literally some days I don't even think about food so you won't miss it as much as you think... After a few months you'll be able to eat more normal food anyway but protein is most important for your recovery. I think I've been quite lucky with no issues or complications at all and losing weight pretty quickly.. Also 70lbs isn't that much I've lost over 150lbs now and maintaining well. You will eventually be able to introduce certain food into your diet but still being mindful of the calorie content :) Trust me you won't REGRET it at all Mike
  14. Nothing wrong with going back to basics and fluids I'm 7 months post op bypass and some days I still use protein shakes
  15. I'm in Australia insurance paid all but 4000 but the bill I got was only for like 20,000 total
  16. Depends on your budget ? But if you're talking about camping and off road trails I suggest a decent mountain bike with gears. My favourite here in Australia is a brand called Avanti. Very sturdy and mid range prices around $500+\-
  17. Give it a few more days
  18. Hello there hope everyone is feeling well and getting ready to return back to normalcy after covid-19. Here in Australia things are starting to get back to normal with opening more businesses and stuff. It's my monthly check in for those that are interested in my journey. I count from the day I began my diet and my new way of life which is 9 months to the day but my surgery was 7 months ago. Everyday I wake up and I'm amazed how far I've come this year. I look in the mirror and I still can't believe how good I look now after losing all the weight. I spent half my life obese most of all my adulthood actually and I was always known as the fat friend or the one to be in the friendzone ONLY!! I'm finally starting to gain some confidence in myself which I've struggled with on top of rejection from the opposite sex and I'm starting to engage in some counselling to help deal with the anxiety that comes with social interactions with women. Um I'm regards to my weight looking back in my diary I've been in maintenance pretty much the same weight range now for 2 months. My highest weight this year before surgery got up to 322LB and I've been in maintenance sitting between 165-168 pretty consistently these past 2 months. I don't log my food as much but still keep a mental note of the calories and still have a habit of checking my weight most days just to keep focused and to remind myself to not get complacent!! I will admit I've had some treats since in maintenance and it has not affected my weight which is great so I feel the bypass I was given has definitely changed the way my bodys metabolism works. It feels great to be called skinny and people using that adjective when talking about me ? I'm no longer the fat friend I'm now the skinny ONE. I just want people to know it is possible to reach all your goals and to be successful. At my lowest weight of 165 I've lost 157lbs from my highest weight in just 7 months which is amazing. I know I'll need to tone up and build some muscle eventually and that will add some weight which is fine. Thank you all for your kind words throughout this journey. Mikey.
