    Difficult in weightloss

I didn’t lose any weight at all for two weeks. I just maintained. I had lost about 15 lbs during the pre-op liquid diet, and then an additional 11 lbs immediately after the surgery, but then nothing for two weeks. I didn’t understand what was happening because I was barely able to take anything in, so not losing weight for those weeks was a little discouraging. But I stuck to the plan, quit weighing myself daily, and just tried to stay active. Thankfully, the weight has been coming off steadily since then, but it sounds like stalls are just a part of the process.
  2. I used to love chili dogs. They were my fave. But I just tried to eat one for the first time since surgery and only got one bite down. The hot dog was just too salty and the texture was nauseating. I’ve been staying away from processed foods for the most part, so this was a good reminder to stay the course.

Post surgery how does full feel

It definitely doesn’t take much to fill you up after surgery. For me, eating slowly is really important because I don’t get the old cues that I used to get when I was full. So if I eat too fast now, I end up consuming a couple more bites than I should and that leads to 30 minutes of discomfort afterwards. I am learning to pick up on new cues. Now when I feel the urge to burp, or I start to hiccup, I end the meal.

    Difficult in weightloss

I had a similar experience. I lost 11 lbs in my first week post-op, and then stalled for a couple weeks after that. Then by week four I started to drop again. I am now six weeks post-op and have lost 30 lbs. Just give yourself some time, and try not to compare yourself to other people. Everybody seems to lose at different rates. Keep your head up! You got this!

    Post op emotions

I’m six weeks post-op, and I would say that I experienced some regrets the first couple of weeks. I struggled to get my liquids in and felt pretty miserable. I wondered why I had done this to myself. But thankfully, those feelings were fleeting as I was taken off of my high blood pressure pills and my cpap machine by the third week. That helped me to see why this was exactly the right decision for me. The last few weeks have been pretty positive and I am feeling better and stronger each day. Best wishes to you on your journey.
