  3. Hi Marnellepaul- I have 4 months post surgery and have lost pounds so far as well. I am the slower side as well and have been feeling frustrated. I recently had my 4 month follow up appt and my Dr thinks I'm losing just the right amount of weight. There is no right or wrong. She also thinks that losing weight on the slower end is better for the body and we are less likely to loss our hair as quick or as much. So those are some pluses at least! One thing that i started doing recently is intermittent fasting- 8 hours eating and 16 hours fasting. This has helped a lot bc I realIze now I was grazing a lot at night.
  4. Congratulations!! Very exciting!!

  24. @Screwballski Yes! I have been eating puréed soups since (along with protein drinks) since day 3 & 4 post op and today I had turkey chili which is day 5 post op. I haven't had any problems and now questioning my process since most people are having such a rough time and On pure liquids for 2 weeks. I am glad to read your post and hear what your Drs advice.
  25. Thank you so much for your response and feedback. That all makes a lot of sense and is great advice. Thanks again! PS. I've dealt with gallstones previously so feel your pain! Thanks again
  26. Recovering too quickly?? Hello! I was sleeved on Monday, Oct 15th. Surgery went well but was very sick from the anesthesia. Stayed one night in the hospital. During 1-4 days post op, I have been drinking partial Protein Shakes and puréed Soups. My calorie count is maybe 500-800 max. Today, on day 5 post op, I decided to try turkey chili and it's been fine! Overall, this surgery has been pretty manageable. I can eat 6-8 ounces of food with no problem. I wait to drink Water after 30 mins and it's been fine. I feel hungry a lot! I am worried I got the placebo sleeve! It seems like the majority of people have a really rough road and I am having the opposite experience which I am thankful for but makes me question why i am able to eat and drink so easily. Should i be concerned at all? Would love any feedback or if anyone is in the same boat.

  30. Hi Kathy, I had the same experience with the 2 week liquid diet. I had diarrhea daily, especially the entire 2nd week. I am 3 days post op and still have daily diarrhea. Not sure if that's normal or not but I had same experience as you pre op.
  31. @ElectricBoogaloo I am having similar experience to you. I have been able to swallow normal mouthfuls of both water and yogurt, soup, etc. I wondered if I have placebo sleeve as well! I am 3 days post op when it's supposed to the worst I thought.
