  1. Yeah, I just can't take the arm skin anymore. I would have a second surgery (probably just lipo at that point) if the skin drooped more in the future. I'm not opposed to multiple plastic surgeries, even on the same spots, if need be.
  2. How did you guys pick a goal weight? Did you just go off the BMI chart? Did your surgeon set one for you? Did you take into consideration intensity of weight-lifting or anything like that? Ehhhhh. My trainer who abandoned me (lol) until November scheduled me on August 26th in the morning because I have off work that day. I think I may hold off on weighing until then, and see. And get his opinion on it, too.
  3. My consult is on the 16th. My surgeon's office gave the okay for plastic surgery at 13 months, so I don't think he will have an issue with it. He doesn't typically work with bariatric patients, so I don't think he will have an opinion - especially since my bariatric office said it's fine. I want to schedule it the week of November 18th.
  4. I am getting a tummy tuck, arm lift, and skin removal from my "side boob". He did a breast reduction in 2017 and said the side boob area was fat and would go away when I lost weight.... which it did not whatsoever. LOL.
  5. I don't know what my forever goal is supposed to be? lol. I guess that's my issue. Like, what am I supposed to get to. Is the weight I'm at okay if I like it?
  6. I just sent this panicky quotation laden message to my surgeon... LOL " " "" "" " " " "" " Do I have a goal weight? No one has discussed this with me. I arbitrarily set it at 140 because that's what I remember "looking good at", except now I am at 156 and 2 sizes smaller than I was at 140 because I have much more muscle mass... but the BMI says I am still "overweight". How do I know when I am "done" losing weight or where should my target be? Is it okay I am still "overweight" since the BMI chart doesn't take into consideration body fat percentage?? I have a consult for skin removal next week and want it done at the end of November. Should I stress about "getting to 140lbs"? "
  7. I think I am in a funk because of the hovering I am experiencing right now and the fact I have a plastic surgery consult next week. I was "hoping" to get to 140 by November, which is still possible but.... is it necessary. I am smaller than I was at 140. 140 was just an arbitrary number I pulled out my butt. Is the weight I am at okay. I don't knowww.
  8. Maybe bi-weekly would be ok... ? I get SO hung up on numbers.
  9. I just started getting really obsessive and weighing daily. And the last 2 weeks I've been bouncing from 156 to 158 and it has been DRIVING ME INSANE, so I just want to reject the thing entirely. lolll.
  10. I had more issues with constipation than diarrhea in the beginning, but now it's flipped as my stomach has become way more intolerant to foods. Poos all the time. Ugh. Carry spare undies and maybe spare pants in your car. Honestly, I can feel when it's coming and I haul ass to the bathroom. No apologies. lol.
  11. So, my "goal weight" I personally set to 140 because that's how much I weighed about 9 years ago and what I thought would be good-looking. I am in the 150s now and just hovering between the same 3lbs. I could be in a stall or possibly just this is my equilibrium. Either way, I am two sizes smaller than I was when I was 140, probably due to lean muscle rather than fat. So, I've decided to stop weighing myself entirely. I feel like I was/am obsessed with getting to "a number" and not actually looking at how I look and feel (or taking into consideration muscle mass versus body fat). Have any of you just stopped weighing? Is that dangerous? Should I still keep tabs on "the number"? I am still considered overweight on the BMI - but I am definitely "smaller" than I was at 140, which is a "healthy weight". My surgeon's office has no opinion, because they thought I'd only get to the 160s or 170s. I'm also having skin removal in 3 months, which may shave off a few pounds anyways.
  12. I eat primarily dairy and YES TAKE YOUR CALCIUM. You have malabsorption now and are highly likely not getting enough no matter how much you are eating, which is why you are supposed to take those supplements FOR LIFE. I literally eat almost nothing BUT dairy and still take them twice per day.
  13. I didn't follow the pre-op diet super well because I wanted some last hurrahs. Fortunately, post-op, I don't WANT any of that food anymore so the restrictions don't bother me one bit. It changes your chemistry... and your ability to intake food. Remember that food is for fuel, not fun.
  14. I didn't even think of that.... derp. I ordered Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown. I'll check out Amazon!!! TY!
  15. Can anyone recommend challenging yoga DVDs? Like good vinyasa flows or power yoga? I bought one a while back but it is waaayyy too easy and just simple stretching. I'm looking to sweat and work.
  16. I will always have my e-bond with my fellow BPers. LOL
  17. I am going to chill like whoa as soon as I leave this hell, I mean work. Super annoying day because boss was in a bad mood which makes the whole office on edge. Going to do a short Jillian DVD and veg outttttttttt. ZzzzZZZzZz
  18. Also, I love my Bubba 26oz insulated steel water bottle. It truly does keep water cold for 20 hours and stuff hot for 7 hours. Self-tested, lol. BUT, I dropped it from my bicycle and the lid cracked and now it leaks if not kept upright.
  19. are there any good bottles i can squeeze and just spray water into my mouth like a wild animal? lmao. serious though.
  20. But more than them hassling me about the exercise is the fact that no one said a single thing when I was eating all the time. That really does get to me. I can ignore them giving me crap for going to the gym for whatever reason, but it does really bother me that there's this sudden concern when there should have been long ago. And I may outright say something to them about it.
  21. I think two or three times I did a spin class and then went to yoga (the classes are back to back in the gym), but they work totally different muscle groups and serve totally different purposes. The yoga class was my zen to chill out from cycling my butt off. Nothing extreme and nutty.
  22. Lawd no. lol. The most I have ever done is I went to a spin class and then had my trainer scheduled right after, and he let me off on doing cardio with him because I just came out of a spin class. My mom told me to "take a class or something" (like painting) and I told her I paid for my personal trainer class and that's a class... and she seemed really irked about it. IT'S A CLASS! LOL.
  23. Maybe. My spin classes are an hour long. I'd get it if I was like... doing a spin class, then going and doing weights, then popping over later for a yoga class or another spin class. But an hour of exercise a day is totally normal???
  24. Like, I'd get it if I was in the gym for HOURS at a time or multiple times per day or something. Or working like every muscle group multiple times and hurting myself. Or no rest days. That isn't the case at all! That seriously is my schedule. Like today I'm going to go home and do my 30 minutes of Jillian and be done. Tomorrow, I have a yoga class. Thursday, I'm probably going to go home and do nothing. lol. Maybe it's just like it seems like I am there a lot because I go straight from work so don't get home until 7??? I don't even know!
  25. Like, oh no, I do one hour of cardio a few times a week interspersed with some random yoga classes when I'm bored. I am sooooo overdoing it.
