I just read your post and am so glad your daughter is doing well. I know that through prayers many thing are answered. I hope she continues to recover. Kids bounce back so fast. We spent many of night at the hospital with our youngest ( now 20 ) but you never forget those times. Now is time for you to get rest. Sounds like you have a lot of things on your plate with a new home and all. Just wanted to say I"m thinking of you and your family. DeAnn

Wednesday current 336.5 (-6 ) total -43.5 preband meet with the Psychological Evaluation today...Hope that goes well with I've been through the past few weeks... LOL... can't wait for the big day!

Oh My Kasey won today!!!!!! Opps forgot to record the race. Boy am I going to be in trouble hope they replay it tonight sometime... my hubby is not going to be happy!!! Will I'm excited! home boy won the race. Any one know where JR finished?

I'm here! Things look so much better today! First Day Of Spring.. Weigh in @ the Dr. Down 6. and My dad is doing so good... For those that don't know my father has been in the Hospital for the past three weeks and yesterday they had to amputate his right leg.. ( He is a quadriplegic for the past 40 yrs) I went and saw him early this morning. He looks so good. Hope you all enjoy your first day of Spring.. I'm going out to plant flowers.... YEAH:clap2:

wow what a week.. I can not believe the scales today.. with spending the last 8 days at the hospital with my father I have been able stay on high protein as the requested and still lost ****-9 **** I'm so excited. so here it is C 342.5 (-9 ) YEAH !!!!

Our boy Cassey Kane.. The hometown boy! We are just big fans so we love most all of them... Looking forward to race day! My husband raced for about 15 yrs at the local tracks in Washington state.. That is one thing I always wanted to do was to take a lap around the track in the car but as you can guess there was no way I could get in or out of the car... Looking forward to race day!!!!!!

Good News... had my first visit yesterday and was given a date for surgery... May 4, 2006.. I'm so excited... just under a lot of stress now my dad is in ICU in very critical condition.. but I new he wanted me to go to my appointment so I left for a few hrs met the Dr. and then returned with the news. I told him and I got a smile from him.. I hope he pulls through so he can see my success.

Gone for Good CLUB ! I just wanted to introduce my self... I'm DeAnn from Washington state. South of Seattle about 40 miles. I am married to a wonderful supportive man for yrs. we have two sons 26 & 20 and one wonderful daughter in-law. I just left my job of 26 yrs. It was very hard to do! it was not my choice. I was a childcare director and the business sold and new owner didn't want me.. SAD!! So now I am searching for new work. I have been over weight for the past 46 years and 7 months. My birth weight was 6 lbs and at three weeks tripled my weight. SO as you can see the battle has been a long time.. Childhood name calling, mean Jr & high school jokes.. no dates or dances in school. Then looking for love in the wrong places and wrong people ( just someone to care about me at my weight ) and then finding love that was the right.but never able to do the fun things we did as a family like racing cars, boating, feeling comfy at the car shows, fitting on a airplane..ect... I am looking so forward to the band. I have my first appointment March 8,06 hope to banded before Memorial day. I have read all the bio and feel I could take bits and pieces of each and would have mine. I can't wait FOR GONE FOR GOOD! My personal goal is to be down in the onelanders by August 27 Th 2008 to celebrate our twenty fifth wedding anniversary with a wedding and renewing our vows and me in a wedding gown.

Congrats to you...What a goal to hit! I am happy for you! You all have been great inspirations for me..

Hello, from Graham washington, I have my first appointment with Dr. Srikanth on March 8th @ the Surgical Weight Loss Clinic. I am looking forward to this day! I will be a self pay as the insurance company will not cover weight loss, hey! but if I was smoker or drinker they could help with that addicition..I just don't get it. Looking forward to talk or banding with others in the NW.

When I met my husband I drove a ford and he is a chevy man so when we started dating he bought me a chevy and called me his chevy girl... gotta love the guy.! now I own lots of classic chevys

I have my first appointment with my Dr. Srikanth here in Tacoma Washington on March 8th. I too will be a self pay.. but I feel it is total worth it. I have been researching for a year on the surgery. I can't wait. Looking forward to the results. Hoping to find fellow bandsters in the area.

Will I am taking the steps to my new life, and you always start with baby steps... Yesterday I made my appointment with Dr. Srikanth in Tacoma Washington. A few weeks ago I went to the seminar with my husband Rick who is so supportive of this with me.. I could not ask for anyone to be more than him. :clap2: I have had a weight problem since birth.. OK not birth lbs but three weeks after birth tripled my weight ( thats what mom told me ) put on a diet at three weeks old..:mad: can you believe it! I have never been skinny... :angry I now am going to be. I just found out that my insurance will not cover it at all... gee what a surprise... maybe if was a smoker or drinker they would cover help with that but not weight... I don't get it.. anyway I will pay for it my self.. I'll show them.. it will be all for me.. So now what? whats the next step to starting my life over.. I think its getting my mind set that I will have to over come the little bad person in my mind saying get up and get FOOD.. even when I"m not hungry.. I don't even know if I really know what hungry is... I have been really doing some soul searching and find that maybe my mind is scared of me being thin.. what will It do for her... I told Rick the other day I don't want praise for this because I can't take it. As soon as someones complements me i turn to food. what is that about... But with prayer and support I will find the strength to accept it and turn to something like a thank you! So I can't wait to meet with Dr.MS ( he said we could call him that for short.) at the seminar I met two sisters who had done wonderful.. neither of them had lap band but their sister did and was doing great.. she was at her mountaineers group going to climb Mt.Rainier.. together they had lost over three hundred pounds. they were so inspirational for me.. Will I will post next Saturday .. I might get brave and go to winter bandster.. it here in town why not..... DeAnn

Hello, I am new to this site. I will be attending a seminar tomorrow in Tacoma, Washington. I have a appointment set to meet with a surgeon on Monday Feburauy 6th. I have battled obesity(on a dr.diet at 3 weeks old) my entire life. I now can take the time for my self. I have much support from my family, but wish to have the support from others that have had the band or going to be banded soon. You all sound so positive and I am looking forward to joining the journey!
