    Day 10) on plan recipe!
This is probably my all favorite. It's a crustless taco pie! It really hits the spot when I'm craving nachos or tacos. I omit the salsa and green onion since my stomach isn't a fan these days. It makes 8 slices, my portion is 1/2 a slice! Two meals from one slice isn't bad right? So 177 calories for 3.5 oz (because I also weigh everything I eat) can't get more than 3.5 oz in without feeling overly stuffed.. feel free to add Protein Powder to the liquid mixture if you want/need to up your Protein. I did a few times with my unflavored Isopure and no one noticed!

On plan recipe. Adjust the brown sugar or omit as it fits best your plan. I’ve made this for nearly 20 years and it’s always a hit. Tonight will be the first time adjusting amounts with the brown sugar. I’m trying with splenda brown sugar blend. Hopefully still as delicious. Will edit with updated nutrition info. The nutrition information is for 4 ounces of chicken as recipe is written.
    Chicken Picante
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4oz each)
2 C chunky salsa or picante sauce
    3 T brown sugar
    1T brown mustard, prepared
Serve with brown rice if desired. (Not included in nutrition info)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place chicken in a shallow 2qt baking dish. I use one with a lid. In a bowl combine all other ingredients and stir well. Pour over chicken.
Bake for 30-35 min or until thermometer reads 170 degrees.

    Nutrition:
    Calories - 253
    Total fat - 3g
    Total carb - 18g
    Fiber - 4g
    Sugar - 14g
    Protein - 22g

    With Splenda:
    Calories - 229
    Total fat - 3g
    Total carb - 11g
    Fiber - 4g
    Sugar - 7g
    Protein - 22g

I’m sure there are other ways to lower the total carbs or net carbs (7 net carbs with Splenda). I’m open to any and all suggestions.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

    Oooooh enjoy!!!
BTW the protein I enjoyed wayyyy to much ($$$) is Isopure.
Your girl bought that 14 months ago and is still using it for special occasions LOL ( but will buy Antarctic waters and Japanese teas daily, priorities...)

Look I'm not doing anything special. Four shakes and a meal. I've been making some simple but yummy vegetarian dinner (I know oxymoron right? 😂) and I'm satisfied. I feel I owe a lot it to the Protein I drink every hour from 2pm - 5pm, then dinner a 6. I don't feel weak or tired. I did in the beginning. I think that was from cutting sugar cold turkey. I don't feel like I when I was starving myself. I even have the energy to work out regularly.
    My recipe:
    Good quality protein isolate powder
    Water
    blender bottle
Shake it. Twist it. Pull it. Bop it. (Nothing past shake it is necessary)
    Enjoy (plot twist, you won't!)

Missed the last 2 days but here we go:
Day 8 - My fitness plan was just walking on the treadmill I have at home and I was walking 50 min a day. I now signed up with BeachBody On Demand and and starting the first workout today, I'll still try to add some 30-min walk every other day though.
Day 9 - How I'm keeping on plan, meal prep is major for me. I haven't done it this week because I worked everyday last week but I have a bunch of healthy stuff I ordered from the Bariatric Pal Store so I'm not making bad choices at all, I will prep this Sunday and already have my meal plan for the week so I'm pretty excited hahaha...going grocery shopping tomorrow.
Day 10 - On plan recipe. My meal plan for next week will include a ricotta bake that is delicious. Recipe is attached...I make it all in one small rectangular pyrex and divide into 7-8 pieces totaling 120-150 calories each and 12-15 grams of protein...I use everything fat free and add vegetables (shredded zucchini, butternut squash) and it quicks it up a notch.

    Day nine
How do I stay on plan? Plan, plan, plan. I don’t leave anything up to chance. Carry Water with me everywhere I go, keep Greek yogurts in the work fridge, if I’m invited to a party, I bring a dish (one that I can eat, so if there’s nothing else there, I know I have a safe option). Fail to plan...plan to fail

food prep is the #1 thing keeping me on track. If I literally do nothing else, this one thing keeps my eating on track. Whole family gets in the game. Kids food prep their after school Snacks because they want to be up in my business when my husband and I are cooking and rocking out to music on sundays. ❤️ Also, then I don't have to dig my hand into their boxes of crackers and be tempted.
Get yourself a good home team and you'll be set!
(Also, I'm 9 lbs away from losing my first 100lbs!!! Might hit it this month *squeal*)

#9 How I'm Keeping on plan:
Some fear of weight gain keeps me on plan. I gain quickly and it's slow to come off. I log, exercise, keep motivational things on my fridge, set goals, and this challenge is helping. Thanks @GreenTealael
Don't judge. Three months until Vegas. I'm going to see my sister in law on this vacation. At the beginning of my weight loss, she said to me " you know your just going to gain your weight back." 🙄 Anger is a great motivator to stay on plan. I hope to be in the low 130's for Mt Charleston.

Here I am playing catch up! I’ll take a before pic when I get home from work. January goals include increasing my activity by daily cardio on the bike or elliptical and strength training 2-3 times/ week. My major goal of 2018 was actually having the surgery! I had vsg on 10/2/18. Proudest moment of 2018 was a Dec ‘17 - Dec ‘18 F2F that I will include in this post. The best motivation for me is keeping up with everyone’s success! Thanks for the positivity and encouraging posts to everyone! January’s fitness plan is the same as my goals for January. Thanks so much for this challenge! ❤️

I'm staying on plan with all you amazing friends! I hope we are all friends- friend me if we aren't already...
The last Challenge I ran was my first and I was a little unprepared and unwell most of the time. I'm so glad this one is going a lot better. Honestly I hope to try to have someone run a different challenge every month. I like the community effort.
I'm mostly introverted in everyday life and my wls journey is not public, so this forum is essential for me. Thanks everyone for your participation. I'm crying into espresso...

Still in the game! Sorry no posting for a few days! Was in the hospital Friday to Sunday to get my gallbladder out and fix a surprise hernia! Gained 2lbs, but I think it's from all the fluids. BUT, now I can eat and drink without being sick! Not sure if I'll make my goal weight for Feb. 1, but this was way more important anyways. Just been vegging out while I heal!

I've been on a roll with my fitness plan for about 2 months- so happy i found something that works for me.
Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs: elliptical warmup then weight training- the music is key!
Tuesday is "me day"! I try to do something active that's fun or new. So far I've tried swimming, yoga, and bootcamp. I want to try martial arts, pilates, barre and kickboxing. But sometimes I just go to the gym to sink into the hot tub and hang in the sauna to pamper my hard-working muscles.
I am not perfect about following this plan. I'm getting better about rolling with it if something comes up and I try not to let it derail me for the week. Anyone else have control issues? Weekends are for hiking with the fam or adventuring around town.
