DeeberLee reacted to BuzzVSG in What The Hell Man
Most people don’t know I have had WLS. When I tell them I exercise 5-6 times a week, they say “don’t hurt yourself”, that’s fanatical. I literally went from not being able to walk up a flight of stairs to running close to 5 miles. It seems that most people are not used to change. Maybe it’s because they don’t have the power to change so when they see somebody do things to better themselves they react in an awkward manner.

Gosh, I was just talking about this today! If one more person tells me I'm getting too thin, I'll scream! I agree with you, when I was heavy no one said anything about my weight. Even when I had constant back and knee pain. Now I'm exercising daily without pain and I'm losing too much weight. Really!!

That is so true. It is hard to be logical in the midst of a struggle. I'm trying to stay away from the scale and look at the NSV's that I've accomplished.

DAY 12: One negative thought I'm ready to let go of.
Failing and regaining my weight back. In the past this has always happened. Things are going well now, however there's that little devil whispering in my ear, making me nervous. I'm older and wiser now and I want to put that negativity behind me. -
DeeberLee reacted to JessLess in 6 month post-op weight loss
I had my surgery 5 months ago and I'm down 49 lbs. Unlike some people, I am really happy with that result. I have never lost weight so fast, and doing it while in perimenopause is like magic to me. My size went from a 22W to a 16 regular. I can do business travel without bringing a seatbelt extender and not be embarrassed to have my picture all over my employer's social media. People have really noticed my loss, and I feel more comfortable in my body. One of the best decisions I have ever made.

March 12th:
Negative thoughts I'm ready to let go of is about failure. I want to live by my own standards (cliche i know) and feel like I'm winning accordingly. Also I want an optimal health. Thin is cute, but heathly is beautiful. Thats what I want forever... And a flat stomach 😂😂😂😂😂😂

The NSV’s are game changers for sure!! I’ve gone down an inch in my neck, my arms and breast in a week. I’m like a melting candle!! It’s starting from the top and I’m having faith it’s moving on down 😂

How do you handle dissatisfaction/disappointment/discouragement in life? I didn't handle it well. That's why I weighed 232 lbs. I "ate" my dissatisfaction, disappointment and discouragement. I've always internalized everything. I'm learning to be more vocal. I can't, won't eat my feelings away. -

Excited about trying a mix of yoga and Pilates this morning. One piece of advice: I made the right decision to have WLS. Three years of my life worrying about should I or shouldn't I have the WLS. One thing I'm good at: Trying to look at the positive side of life. -

DeeberLee got a reaction from Jezzabelle360 in BMI Goal: is your BMI goal to be healthy or overweight?
My goal is to be healthy and achieve a weight that I can maintain for life. When I was in my teens and twenties, I was considered overweight for my height. I was 120 lbs, my doctor wasn't concerned because I was very athletic. Ran track, weight lifting etc. I had a lot of muscle. Gone now!! As I get closer to goal, I'll discuss this with my MD.

It never is a smooth plunge but more stop and starts losing weight after surgery, but all of us will make it to where we should be! And we all will be better than we started out, right?

I didn't plan a cruise this year because I didn't think I could handle the food temptation. Thanks for the inspiration.

DAY 4:
Happiest Childhood Memory- I'm a military brat. My fondest memories are traveling by car on summer vacation all over the country with my sisters and brother. Seeing nothing but corn fields, traveling through Kansas. Seeing the Mojave desert in California. No worries just a carefree kid. Favorite perfume: I think it's called Bon Chic by Max Azria. It's a light not to heavy perfume. -
