I feel both Dr's are equally competent surgeons. Have you tried checking out other surgeons in the area. There are quite a few. If you don't feel comfortable and/or respect their opinions on what we have done to our bodies then maybe they are not the right surgeons for you. I have been seeing them since March 2008 and I have had a great experience with both. Lorraine

I had Dr. Baptista do my surgery. Both Dr's are great. It depends on what day of the week as to what surgeon you get and who does your fills. I had my surgery on May 27, 2008 and so far have lost 50lbs. Good luck with your journey! Lorraine

Hi! Im just starting the process to get the Lapband. My insurance just decided to cover lapband this year. I can't wait til I get the surgery and start this new journey.
