  1. Wow, GREAT JOB!! I agree; don't let other people set your goal weight; your body is telling you you it has more to lose. Increasing your calories and protein intake and beginning weight training will allow you to start defining your muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat, so keep that in mind. 800-1200 is the basal caloric intake, so i'd think you should offset your calories burned with calories eaten to maintain a 1,000 calorie balance (for example, you eat 1800 cal per day, burn 800 cal during exercise, and you're still at a balance of 1000 cal). Great job!
  2. Hi! In the process of getting approved for surgery, but my BMI is 40.5 and no comorbidities, similar to you. I have all of my appointments scheduled, so once those have gone through, I'll find out if I'm approved by my insurance company for surgery. I'll hopefully be getting my Sleeve Gastrectomy done within 2-4 months. Wish me luck and congrats on your surgery date! -Brittani
