Argon's Activities
Thanks green Something I'm curious about, is the actual size of the pills, cause I'm worried that since they are not supposed to be broken, I wouldn't be able to swallow them. (I have to break in half tylenol tablets, and they still get stuck.. even tried biting it in thirds last night, and same problem) Have you ever been on the Wellbutrin SR? Is that any smaller? I would rather take 3 pills a day than one huge one once, and deal with that discomfort for half an hour. But then again, if the SR's are almost the same size and can't be broken either... I'm screwed. I don't even know if SR's exist anymore anyways... I actually tried Zyban a few years ago, and although I stopped taking it after a few weeks, (cause it didn't feel like it was helping), I quit(smoking) a week before quitting Zyban, and stayed quit for a couple years after that. Not sure why I started again... I went home for Xmas one year, stole one from my mom, and then it began. Not that I should be shopping for anti-depressants based on their size, or if I can break them, etc, but do you know of any kinds that may be easier to take? It would be nice to have the benefit of helping me quit smoking and being a anti-depressant all in one, though. Hmm...

Would you do it all again ?

Are any of you guys on Wellbutrin? I'm not, but I think I want to be. I want to go to a doctor... and I want to ask for Wellbutrin. (for my mental health as well as to quit smoking, because I believe Zyban and Wellbutrin are the same thing) Anyone? Feel free to PM if you don't want to say it here, and if you can help me out. I also need some help in how I'm going to approach the doctor with this. I've 'wanted help' for a really long time, and the one time I got up the nerve and asked, I was brushed off, and got nothing at all. :think Keep in mind, I will be having to go to a walk-in clinic, and see a doctor who's never seen me, and likely won't ever again, or at least won't be considered my regular doctor.

Lap Band Surgery-BC Canada
Were the people you know of in Whitehorse banded by TLBC too? I'd do that then... actually... I would go to THEIR family doctor(s) instead, since they must already know what their doing. I'd rather have someone who's done it even just a few times that have my doctor learn/practice on me. Just for the hell of it... why don't you contact Dr. Cobourns office and just ASK if they have anyone in the Whitehorse area who does fills. They're getting doctors/nurses all over the place now.. I might even have one (closer) soon! Woo!

How far is Calgary for you? Wherever you go, if Calgary is closer, you could always get fills there too.

Would you do it all again ?
Despite any issues I've had (with are really nothing), I would do it all again. I wish I had FIVE years ago.

p.s. both places do that TLBC with Joffe and Yau, and The Surgical Weightloss Center with Cobourn and Mumford.

Vegetarian Lasagna
Yummm... sounds good. I do the same 'kind' of lasagna, but I add mushrooms, cottage cheese, and reg. cheese, not feta or ricotta... but I think I may try next time, at least the feta. Mmmmm.. Whoah... wait, I just read the rest! You roll it up?! Crazzzzzzy! But intriguing

The All-Canadian October Challenge!!!
Hey guys! I need some good vibes for the next week, to get me to 70lbs gone! I'm 0.2 away, and I am PROMISING I am not going to weigh myself again until next wednesday. What my next mini goal will be is: 72lbs, BECAUSE that will be my halfway point. Whoop whoop!!

do you have a 'junk mail filter' or folder that maybe it went to? If it's not there, I can message the moderator and ask her to send you something, like a reminder, or something.

I agree.. nothing wrong with $13,000. Better than $16,000! But, I don't know/haven't heard too much about him, so I can't comment. I do think it's stupid that they won't just tell you HOW MUCH it is!!!

Over seas trip
Hmmm... I would wait until you get back from Egypt to get your first fill. I don't know where your nearest airport is, but I imagine you'll be going through Toronto at some point on your way back from Egypt. Maybe you could even schedule it so that you could get it when you get into Toronto after returning from Egypt, you could get a fill, stay in TO for a couple days, and then continue on home. I don't think those dates for getting fills are set in stone, they probably book them ahead of time so you have them if you need them. You don't have to get a fill if you don't need one, but I guess its nice to have the dates in case you do.

You mean Dr. Woodhead? What would the $400 be for? To see Dr. Woodhead, for what?

Wheezy Whispers-AKA September's Goals
I dunno Yoda.... it took me a few days before I could BARELY eat... and then a few weeks before I could finally eat more. It doesn't really make sense. I can see having WAY more restriction at first, perhaps from irritation or inital swelling, but yeah, I don't see how you can feel nothing, and then it 'kicks in' after days or weeks.

Start filling it up, guys! Start asking If Dr. McMumford is married, etc! Irish Mist, that's likely why it doesn't seem like you can read any posts - there aren't any (well, a few). If you click on something like 'Post Your Questions Here", and then click 'new topic', it's just like making a new thread here.

Wheezy Whispers-AKA September's Goals
I didn't feel much after my first fill either. I would say give it a couple weeks, and see how it goes.... then book another fill if you need it. But yeah, it could take another fill, or even a couple before you notice anything, who knows. Ragergirl, if she reads this... I believe she said she's got her band maxed now. (well, I think there's the ability to go a little over 4ccs or 10cc's, whatever you have) Don't be discouraged guys, it's gonna pick up, and soon, you'll all be kickin' my ass! I'll be grumbling to Dan, "Wheezy lost another 5lbs this week!!!" LOL

BBcode, and HTML... just ignore that. ICQ and AIM are 'instant messengers' like MSN, ignore that too, unless you have them, and want to talk to people from that message group through them. The VIP secret code they ask for is at the top left of the screen, (when you're typing in that secret code). It's not exactly secret, it's there for anyone to see, but it makes it so jerks can't 'auto-enroll' in the group and post various crap... I think.
