    NEWBIE ~ from Reno

Yes, I had a ERD, which included an upper GI. The doctor found ulcers in my esophagus and stomach, and had to postpone my gastric sleeve surgery. I have to wait until the ulcers heal before I can have the surgery.

    January surgeries?!

I haven’t had a food funeral yet, but I’m having those food shaking their curvy body cravings. It’s the, “I know you want me. Come and get it big boy!”

    January surgeries?!

I just started my preop diet. I’m struggling with being so hungry. If I feel this way on the first day, I can imagine how I feel at the end of the preop?
  4. I’m glad you found a popcorn that made you feel good. Popcorn is a staple snack for me, and giving it up is like pulling teeth without nova cane
  5. Thanks for the advice. This weekend is the last time I will enjoy three solid meals and snacks I like.

I’m having my surgery on January 29th. I’m mentally trying to prepare myself for the surgery before I go on my liquid diet.

    January 2019

I’m getting my gastric sleeve surgery on January 29th. How nervous are you?
  13. For me, it was a combination of choosing a weight at my current stage of life and my doctor helped me choose. The doctor recommended that my ideal finished weight should be 200 pounds. Any more than that would be crazy!
  14. I’ve been told that foods like rice and potatoes aren’t good for you. My dietary counselor was telling me that I should keep away from them. She offered things like zucchini noodles and cauliflower “rice”. How do you feel about them?

any sleevers in their late 50's

I’m 59, and have started my pre-op phase. The one thing I need to get motivated about is exercise. I have it listed as something I should do, but I just can’t get started. Any suggestions?
