  1. Congratulations to Allwet for all the hard work! YoungDad, that's a lot of weight for 2 weeks! I'll be really happy if I lose lose 20 pounds, my surgery date was 8/28 and I'm down 14. My biggest complaint/concern is that I'm hungry most of the time. I hope that goes away soon because its such a distraction. Stay strong everyone!
  2. I had my sleeve on Tuesday 8/28, came home Wed morning. Pain has been manageable on tylenol, gas pain aided with walking. I also can't get in all the shakes they want but I haven't had nausea or vomiting. Moving in bed is hard until I realized to use my feet and shift and not try to use my body. I'm down 4.8 lbs since the surgery, I must have had a heavy stomach! It's really not as bad overall as I thought it would be. I'm just bored with the liquids and look forward to progressing to soft. Hang in there!

I'm afraid my coworkers are going to kick me out of the office by the end of day 1. Let me know how it goes.

Yeah my bariatric center has a 1 week pre surgery liquid only diet. Some folks with a BMI over 40 have to do 2 weeks pre surgery liquid diet. They said it has to do with shrinking down the liver and stomach before surgery. You may want to start sooner than the day before. I'm sure you will do great!

Hi Y'all! My surgery date is August 28th. I'm eating my final favorites this weekend before the pre-op liquid diet starts on Tuesday. I've already warned my coworkers. I'm nervous and excited to get started already. BTW that pic is not me but my beautiful daughter. Good luck to everyone!
