  1. Your'e putting yourself in great risk by having alcohol so soon after surgery. Most docs recommend to wait at least 6 months. Your stomach is still healing and alcohol is very acidic and can mess with the healing process. You're also at a high risk of developing a dependency issue. Having two shots a day when you're probably only bringing in about 1000 calories a day isn't "light". You're definitely fooling yourself if you think that alcohol isn't having some negative impact on your weight loss!
  2. I've tried tons of stuff from the store. A lot of it is hit or miss. Some stuff I love and other things have been just sitting in my cabinets. What are you looking at specifically?
  3. Totally normal feelings. I had zero desire for anything for awhile. You just have to focus on meeting liquid and protein goals.
  4. Thank you for the links! I'm terrible at being mindful while eating. Sadly I feel like I cannot enjoy food unless I'm shoving it down my throat at ridiculous speed...
  5. Lol. I'm picturing my coworkers watching me sit on my hands while I eat my lunch
  6. Fiber back up some people and helps others go. It all depends on how your body processes it.
  7. The smooth move tea is caffeine free. Herbal tea doesn't have caffeine in it...
  8. Yep. Also most popcorn is full of salt, butter and a ton of other stuff that increases calories and decreases how healthy it is
  9. Your friend is gaining weight because she is self sabotaging/working around her sleeve by eating popcorn all day.
  10. Yes, sliders can stall your weight loss. Weight loss is all about calories in versus calories out, so if you are eating more calories than you are burning, you're not going to lose weight. Obviously if a food is a slider, you're eating more of it and that results in more calories taken in. If you cannot control yourself around a certain food(a "trigger") it means you have an unhealthy relationship with that food item so in short, yes it's bad for you.
  11. This person is just referring to foods that you can eat a lot of because they do not cause any discomfort. The sleeve is a restriction tool that (for awhile at least) prevents us from overeating because we start to feel uncomfortable if we have eaten too much. If a food is a "slider" it "slides" right through our sleeve and we feel no restriction. "Triggers" are just foods that you cannot seem to help yourself around.
  12. Lol Ex lover's friend: "Why did you break up with her?" Ex lover: "I just couldn't take the noises her stomach made after sex" Legit reason
  13. Definitely just stop talking to men. Have you seen the article that has been floating through facebook where this extremely old woman (in 100s?) says the key to a long healthy life is avoiding men? Lol
  14. Throwing some premier into coffee is definitely the best
  15. I have prime but it's only giving me the option to save 15% if I do monthly subscriptions. Hmph
  16. I think ketosis can cause dry mouth.
  17. Also can anyone explain to me why my phone isnt letting me know that people have responded to my post??
  18. Lol. At least it was someone you were hopefully close enough too where they understood why your stomach was making those noises. I wasnt about to explain to a lecture hall full of students that I had surgery and my stomach wasnt making those noises because I had to sh*t
  19. I'm embarrassed to admit (not really), I can't figure out the joke?
  20. I find that whenever I eat food that tastes good, I eat way too fast and get sick/uncomfortable. This has led to me avoiding foods that I really like and sticking with foods that I can tolerate the tastes of of but that are not my favorite. Anyone else have similar experiences?
