RagazzaGrassa got a reaction from Russ D in CONSTIPATION!!
    Hello All.
I had my Sleeve surgery 8/16/2018 and had the best of times! The doc said it was straight forward, the recovery was relatively painless and I was able to do clear and full liquids...just one little thing that got by me...I DIDN'T STAY ON TOP OF THE STOOL SOFTENER!!
Day 7 cam around and i thought I was going to DIE! I COULDN'T pass a poo nor urinate! I called the doc and really got no help, just some worlds of assurance that it would pass naturally (like a baby!)...I went to the ER in hopes they would give me an enema or DO SOMETHING!! But alas, they only hydrated me and verified that there was no obstruction ( I can't WAIT for that bill!!) ...I was able to void a little, but it was only thanks to my sister helping me at home was I able to get relief AFTER 2 FLIPPING DAYS OF TORTURE!!
I am now FOR SURE on top of the softener, but my poor body has been traumatized and is still afraid! I will see the doc for a follow up on Tue. I fell like I know NOTHING about this new way of life and feel completely unprepared! I really try to sip the hours I am not eating, but still feel dehydrated and don't want to have negative results because of this.
Any words of advice or encouragement?
Thank you all so much, I know WE GOT THIS!!

RagazzaGrassa reacted to HappyVegan in Prescribed vegan diet
I started a vegan lifestyle as soon as i got my surgery. Did not told this to my surgeon. I know he wouldn't approved. It has been a little difficult to keep a good balance.
    So far i have learn:
EAT YOUR GREENS...at least 5 times a week!! at least 2 cups of kale or spinach or some other leafy greens take a vegan Vitamin supplement, I use Deva Tiny Tablets No isolated oils... I use nut butters, and all sort of seeds and nuts. But totally avoid as much as i can isolated oils. The only one i may use 1 time a week is the coconut oil. eat whole grains, oats, brown rice, whole wheat you name it! every day!! fall in luv with all types of potatoes, sweets, yams etc.... I have no limits and eat them as much as i can. I use only organic soy milk!! it has lots of Protein... no problem with fruits and veggies... eat them with freedom no process sugars... instead I mixed some stevia with unprocess brown sugar and use that instead, to use less sugar as possible. But also use lots of dates instead. follow Dr. Gregers Daily Dozen app! this will safe your life! dont be afraid of carbs ... they are your friends just keep it whole food, low or no oil or process sugars. and stay away from process vegan food.. is full with additives, salt, sugars and oils. follow all this and every thing will be great.

RagazzaGrassa got a reaction from Frustr8 in August 2018 sleeve surgery!!
    Hello Everybody!
Just joined today after having trolled the site this week!
My sleeve surgery is scheduled for Aug 16th and I am so very excited to get this done! I have a high tolerance for pain, but for some reason am feeling like a chicken when I think about the potential pain to come from this surgery! I think it is just nerves and I'll be fine!
I do have a question-do you need someone to be with you your first night home?
