    *** September 2018 Sleevers ***

Yayaya so excited for you!! Praying for a speedy recovery!!
  2. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and my NUT transitioned me to pureed and soft foods today. Any suggestions for your favorites? She suggested baby food, anyone try any, are they any good? Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you!!

    On to Purees, suggestions?

Thank you for those suggestions, super helpful! How did your stomach do with spices and spicer foods? I'm nervous to try but before surgery I loved anything spicy!
  4. Hi! I had the sleeve on July 16, I've been doing ok with trying to get my shakes in but I'm having a terrible time with my vitamins. I'm not sure if it's the brand or just taking vitamins in general. I got my vitamins from bariatric advantage both the multi and the calcium. Aside from them tasting terrible, I feel like vomiting shortly after taking just 1. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

    Non-sweet pre-made protein shake options

I was in the exact same boat everything is just too sweet! The thing that is saving me is the Unjury chicken soup and unflavored protein powders. The chicken soup one is very yummy and I put the unflavored into other broths when I want to mix it up. They sell sample packs for cheap so if you just want to try them it's easy to do. I would also suggest the vanilla from them, I find it less sweet as well. Good luck!!

  12. It sounds to me like she's having a hard time with the fact that you are living a healthy lifestyle and she is continuing not to. I'm a big believer in surrounding yourself with people who love and support you. If she isn't willing to go to therapy to fix things and become a positive person in your life, then I think you'll be a happier person not having that negativity around. I hope it all works out for you! Btw: you look great! Very healthy!!
  13. I agree you're such a nice guy and so supportive!!!

    Exhausted/Tired

Hi surgery twin! I also had my sleeve surgery on 7/16 and I was wondering the same thing, I seem to be able to get through just a few activities a day, shower, short walk and making my meals (shakes) before I need to go back to bed. I was wondering if this was normal because I know some people go back to work after 1 week and i can't even get through the morning without needing to lay down. I talked to my doctor's nurse yesterday and she said it's all totally normal. Our bodies are going through A LOT! and I know it's hard but we have to be patient (not something I'm good at with myself). I hope we both feel better soon!
