A few days away for my RNY!

Hello gentlemen! Happy to see there is a guy's forum on here, seems all the others are dominated by the "other-half" [emoji23] I'm scheduled for my RNY this coming Monday 7/12. Excited, nervous and all those other emotions that come with it.. I'll be posting my progress as I go, as I'm sure I'll need some advice from our seasoned WLS But at the moment, I've been on the liquid diet now for about a week and a 1/2 and have noticed issues getting an erection the last couple of days. Anyone else experiance this while on liquids only? If so did it all clear up post op? It's pretty troubling to say the least. Thanks a lot! -Mike Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Family support

I can absolutely relate to this family issue. It's so difficult when your biggest cheerleader, and one of your main supports suddenly has a different mind set for your procedure. You suddenly start to question if this is the right thing so close to the end; even though previously you have already gone through the pro's and con's. Bottom line is you know what's best for you, and you need to follow your own path despite anyone else's opinions. Unfortunately you may need to do like I did and just distance yourself from then for awhile. Right now it's OK for AshMarie to be totally selfish for once and do what you need to do to live a long healthy, happy life, for you and only you! Just a little on my issue, my sister who has had both the lap band, and then RNY has been diagnosed with cancer and is now having a very hard time in life. Prior to her recent struggle she was 100% gung-ho for my procedure and highly supportive, but now she is having a hard time in her life and I feel she is putting this negativity towards me. It's hard, but I've had to call her way less often just for my own overall well being. I keep telling myself I'll be of a much better help to her later on if I'm actually healthy myself.
