  1. I have. My surgeon prescribed the B12 nasal spray for once a week and I also get my Bariactiv Iron, Multi-Vitamin and Calcium + D3 & Magnesium for free. They are chewables and taste horrible if I do chew them. I am able to suck on them and they are much more tolerable. I figure I can put on my big girl panties and deal with the taste in order to save over $70 a month in Vitamins.< br>
I tried those. It's crazy but my insurance will be a $600 copay for the direct mail from the drug manufacturer but would only charge me $60 if I go through their mailing service. But, if I go with that, I dont get the vitamins with the nasal spray. Boo!

  2. So, I have been constantly drinking Water and Protein Shakes and some pudding/jello here and there but it still seems that I am always hungry. I thought 5 days post surgery I would feel fuller more quickly. It’s like the first two days I would take one sip of Water and feel full but now I can eat/drink way more and not feel anything. Any idea why or suggestions?
I am sooo with you Meg. I dont think the folks who say they're "just not hungry" or "force themselves to eat" realize I dont have head hunger! It's a real emptiness in my tummy that calls to me... feed me, I'm hungry. Accompanied by physical growls!!!!! I cant imagine not being hungry...I hoped the surgery would deliver the fullness in my tummy. It has not. Grrr. I wish others would be more understanding sometimes. I'm sorry you're struggling, but you are NOT alone.

  3. I'm a month post op. I have started going to the gym. Could this be why I am ravenously hungry? My pouch holds way more than 4 oz comfortably. Taking 30 mins to eat 4 ounces? No way! That's impossible to fathom. Hungry=eat. I'm really freaking struggling here. I've lost the high of the pain meds. Lost the high of food which is my only true best friend I have ever had. I wanna get high!! Or get full from yummy food!! SOMETHING. I'm losing it.

  4. Omgoodness. That is absurd. My urologist appt is in a few hours, so I'm super glad I read your reply in time. I've never thought to filter my pee. How did you do that? And to have a done too large to pass is my fear, which apparently you now have to contend with. Yikes. I've heard of the procedure where they can blast it into smaller pieces with Water waves or something. But then i'm like, um not on my tender stomach you wont! As far as the diet goes, I'm only 2 weeks post OP so I cant fathom corn. It seems as if treating kidney stones after wls is dangerous. I'm wondering WHY they dont include the risk of stones in the multitude of things to watch for after surgery. Considering that we are 200 percent more likely to develop it after wls than average people. I'll update you after my appt today. My heart goes out to you!!!!

  5. I have had those! They hurt. Also no head, but if you squeeze you get clear liquids followed by blood. Right? If so, have you tried "clindamycin phosphate topical gel"? Works wonders. I mean 2 days they are gone. Works for boils too. Here's a pic. This is lotion but it comes in a gel tube. Also super super cheap!

  7. Does seem high in comparison with others at this point...generally slower the first few weeks due to inflammation, IV fluids, Water weight loss in pre op diet prior to surgery....but we don't know your circumstances, so it may be normal for you.
Do make sure you are getting at least 60grams of Protein a day (or whatever quantity in your guidelines provided by your dietician), make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

I am really loving the flavorless Protein Powder I bought. I put it in my water to kill 2 birds with one stone. Thank you for answering!!!

  8. It was so sad to lose my best friend. She never rejected me, abandoned me, or bored me. She was delicious and exciting and she filled all the empty spaces in me. I had a huge, huge cry about losing her. (Food) So now I have to either replace her with many, many other activities or simply let her go. It's hard. I dont know if anyone else loved her as much as I.
