  2. I saw a bariatric multi on amazon that is a pill, only once daily. Anyone try it? Will my body absorb all the minerals in one dose? Trying to save money on supplements!!! Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Once daily multivitamin

You're right Carla B. I wouldn't skip anything from the required supplements. I will check with my surgeon's office and my regular doc. I will let you know what they say. Thanks for your answer! Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

  9. Hi there! Has anyone had any luck with their insurance paying for vitamins or supplements after surgery? Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Insurance covered vitamins?

They should. Here's why: the cost of treating a malnourished, sick person is far greater than multivitamins. Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Insurance covered vitamins?

I tried those. It's crazy but my insurance will be a $600 copay for the direct mail from the drug manufacturer but would only charge me $60 if I go through their mailing service. But, if I go with that, I dont get the vitamins with the nasal spray. Boo! Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I'm a month post op. I have started going to the gym. Could this be why I am ravenously hungry? My pouch holds way more than 4 oz comfortably. Taking 30 mins to eat 4 ounces? No way! That's impossible to fathom. Hungry=eat. I'm really freaking struggling here. I've lost the high of the pain meds. Lost the high of food which is my only true best friend I have ever had. I wanna get high!! Or get full from yummy food!! SOMETHING. I'm losing it. Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    I just wanna eat

Yes, they gave me the go-ahead to exercise after 2 weeks. I'm wondering if this was a bad idea? If I'm getting 500-600 calories a day and then burning 250 of them by treadmilling and incumbent bicycling, is this why im starvin marvin? Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post Surgery hunger

I am sooo with you Meg. I dont think the folks who say they're "just not hungry" or "force themselves to eat" realize I dont have head hunger! It's a real emptiness in my tummy that calls to me... feed me, I'm hungry. Accompanied by physical growls!!!!! I cant imagine not being hungry...I hoped the surgery would deliver the fullness in my tummy. It has not. Grrr. I wish others would be more understanding sometimes. I'm sorry you're struggling, but you are NOT alone. Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Kidney stone

Omgoodness. That is absurd. My urologist appt is in a few hours, so I'm super glad I read your reply in time. I've never thought to filter my pee. How did you do that? And to have a done too large to pass is my fear, which apparently you now have to contend with. Yikes. I've heard of the procedure where they can blast it into smaller pieces with water waves or something. But then i'm like, um not on my tender stomach you wont! As far as the diet goes, I'm only 2 weeks post OP so I cant fathom corn. It seems as if treating kidney stones after wls is dangerous. I'm wondering WHY they dont include the risk of stones in the multitude of things to watch for after surgery. Considering that we are 200 percent more likely to develop it after wls than average people. I'll update you after my appt today. My heart goes out to you!!!! Effects of Nutrient Deficiency on Skin

I have had those! They hurt. Also no head, but if you squeeze you get clear liquids followed by blood. Right? If so, have you tried "clindamycin phosphate topical gel"? Works wonders. I mean 2 days they are gone. Works for boils too. Here's a pic. This is lotion but it comes in a gel tube. Also super super cheap! Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app
