    Gas, gas and more gas!

I still have pain and am in 4th week (end of this week) post op. I try to walk, exercise, and stay on top of the pain with lots of water, tylenol for arthritis, and extra strength liquid Malox. I am somewhat better and am still hoping for pain free, hang in there others say it will get better.

Goodness, we sound like clones. I have such shoulder pain I could knaw it off myself. I bought Malox liquid, and tylenol for arthritis, and I take it pretty regularly just to stay on top of the pain. I was banded about the same time as you, and have lost about the same amount of weight. I have moved about, and walk alot, but nothing has helped the pain. I have tried the damp microwaved towels, and it gives some relief. Share with me if you find anything that really works. I want it gone too,

    Ontario fills??

Good common sense answer, thanks, I will try it.

    Ontario fills??

Heather You said, "I would say find a family Doc willing to fill you or head to the states the only caveat with most US fill centres is you need to have an FDA approved band or they won't touch you for a fill and the only two that are FDA approved are the INNAMED and J&J bands. So if you have anything else call first and make sure they will help you." and that is exactly what I am trying to do. I was living in Mexico when I had my lap band done. It is a "Inamed" lapband. My own Cdn dr does not agree with this surgery, therefore not an option. I understand exactly what you are saying about our wonderful health care system and I am a proud Canadian. I am simply looking for a well qualified fill doctor in this area with reasonable pricing. I had hoped my fellow Ontario-ians would have some names and numbers.

    Ontario fills??

Hey Hippiemama, I was banded Apr. 10 in Mexico, You are right, I am struggling to find a reasonable and of course excellent fill doctor here in SW Ontario. I had a great Mexican dr, but of course I am finding Canadians do not choose to recognize Mexican excellence, and do not wish to do fills reasonable. I am half way to Detroit, so could get it done in Michigan. It is frustrating.

    Ontario fills??

Has anyone around London Ontario found a reasonable place to go to for fills? I am looking into who to go to for my first fill. Cannot find anyone reasonable.

Hi, everyone, I am 3 weeks post op. I have tried to be very careful with my diet. I have had exercise every day. I have had terrible shoulder pain, meds, diet exercise do not help. I have lost average of 10 pounds so far. I am worried about where to get my first fill (and how many I might need.) I am between Toronto Canada (London Ontario area) and Detroit Michigan. I have been told floros with your fill is the best route. ??????? I am worried about the ultimate cost of this all, but am committed to making a big change in my life for the sake of my health. I want the shoulder pain gone. I want to find a good (reasonable) fill dr. or tech. I want to feel good about myself....maybe someday?? I worry if I have done the right thing, this is a lifetime committment. Goodness do we all feel this way /no one can answer my questions it seems. feeling low. Any advice on all these things. I read some blogs which seem only to add to my anxiety. Is it worth it? Are there successes. I need a fill dr. I need to feel good. I need answers from those who have been through this and know there if light at the end of the tunnel. T.Y. :rolleyes2:
