Thanks for the compliments. I am just a little partial to the family. I was self pay. I had a small ineratence that I used. I was so afraid insurance would deny me for some stupid reason so I self paid. It was worth every penny of it. Keep me posted please on your progress.

That is so cool. I love the water. My Dr. is actually in Albertville/ Guntersville. I love going to see him so I can stop somewhere along the water and relax. I haven't been to Scottsbougho (sp) in years. Enjoy your trip here.

I am 139 lbs from my true goal. When I made my ticker I didn't put my true goal down. I didn't believe in myself or the band enough. Now I can't fix it unless I make a new one and erase my data. I want to be 130. If I use the charts I should weigh 98lbs.Way to thin for someone that has always been fat! (IMHO) I am only 4'10 &1/2. I am as wide as tall! LOL You must be tall from what I am gathering. Go with what you feel and look best at. Good luck

Hey! I noticed that you were self pay with Dr. Groves- I am doing the same, and was wondering if he made you do ao pre-op diet- I know insurance paitents have to, but I don't know if the same will apply to self pay.

Hello Malysa, Yes he will have you do a pre-op diet. Mine was for 1 week. It is to shrink your liver so it is easier to place the band. Dr. Groves is a great Dr. I love him to death. Good luck. When are you getting banded?

yes they do. actually they have 2 small zoos. One is more like a petting zoo with Llamas and things like that. The other one is a drive thru refuge type.
