My Yuppy Puppy

Hi All, Well I had my band 15 months ago and have lost 120lb and am at goal. Of course I have all the extra skin and some fat in those stubborn areas.... so it is time to take the final step. I booked my airfare for Aug 10th and narrowed down my choices.... any feedback would be greatly appreciated. What qualification do you and your wife have? What are the fees?

I think I am at the same spot... so, I cant find information how long it takes to get out of starvation mode. I fully have realized I dont take in enough calories eating right, but somehow I dont think this is meant to be an ok for me to eat bad... started protien shakes yesterday. I had an unfill 2 weeks ago (prior I could only keep liquids down), now I keep down 80% of what I eat... and excerise 5 days a week for a couple of hours and have not lost anything in 2 weeks. It is depressing. I need to get my body out of this mode... and it to weight loss mode... Help. Janet

I was banded 4/4, had first fill 5/20... Noticed even before fill.. that when I am full, I start hiccuping and get a pain between my breastbone. Normal???? Because since the fill, if eating regular food... it takes 4 bites. Which means I am started to slide to eat soft foods to eat more so not to get pain, which is bad... but last night I had 4 bites of pork... went down and felt great, then tried for a couple more bites... first pain, hiccupping and then out of the blue it came up. ALL of it. Also, I feel more tired now... Lack of food????? Suggestions???? Janet

I had my first fill last tuesday.... No Pain, Went great... never missed a step.... Had a guest fly in the same day and way busy busy busy.... Janet

HI, I had surgery done in monterray by Dr. Zapata. I have chose to follow up with Dr. Belfrey in Altamonte Springs (Orlando) as had another lady from jax whom had hers done the day after me. I like him very much. $500 initial visit including a fill, and $100 for each fill thereafter. And I will tell you that my first fill did the job amazingly well. Janet

I was banded by Dr. Zapata on April 5th. It was a wonderful facility, wonderful surgeon and anthesiologist. THe nurses anticipated all my needs the facility was clean and modern. I would highly recommend this group. Janet
