  1. Hey... This is my first post on this board but I've been reading it for the past few months. I'm scheduled (tentatively) for April 30, and I started my pre-op diet yesterday. My nutritionist has me on two Protein shakes a day and one sensible meal. My understanding from my doctor that the purpose of the diet is to shrink the liver to make the surgery easier to perform. What impact do you all think having a few drinks will have? My wife wants to meet with me and her friends tomorrow to Celebrate her first week at a new job I don't know if I have the will power to go and not order a drink or two.
