    May 06'ers

Hey May 06 Bandsters! It has been a really long time since I have posted on LBT! I have been doing well. I haven't reached my goal of 155 yet, still hovering around 180. I haven't had a fill since last May or so and can eat waaay to much! I have a fill scheduled for January 13th and look forward to the scales heading down again! I am starting to train to walk/run the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville on April 25. I walked it last year and hope to greatly reduce my finish time this year. Since I've posted on here I have been to Ireland with my best freinds for ten days and that was awesome! I hope to become a regular here on LBT again... I miss all the support. Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year!

WOW! Well helloo everyone! How are my Mayster buddies? I haven't been on here in months. I am happy to see that you are all doing well. Congrats on the girl Alicia... got any updates to report? Hope all is well. Neal... you are doing great as usual! I gues I should post a little update on me, huh? Well.. here goes. I started out at 318 lbs and am now hovering right around 177. That is great huh? Well... I have been at this weight since about October 07 when I was diagnosed with a gynocological condition called Atrophic Vestibulits (I wont go into gory details here) but I guess this condition was caused by a drop in estrogen and or testosterone levels from weigh los.. At that point my Gyno put my on 5% testosterone cream (topical) which has really helped the issue. BUT... the side effects have been terrible (gained 8 pounds in a few days, facial hair, deepend voice and ACNE!!!) EEK! I am turning into a teenage boy! Now I have to go to a dermatologist for the acne and be put on a antibiotic that can irritate my pouch! It is one thing after another.... On a happier note, I just this last weekend completed a half marathon (13.1 Miles!!!) in Nashville, TN and I ran the last 1.2 mile or so. I am soooo proud of that accomplishment! I never could have done that 2 years ago. It took me 3:10:31 to finish... thats about 14:32 minute mile or 4 MPH. How awesome is that... SOOOOO in summary, even though I have had some crazy issues occur, I still love my band! Getting a slight adjustment on May 13th! Wish me luck!

Alicia - how are you feeling with your pregnancy? I hope you are having a blissful time! Again, congrats!! Do you know if its a boy or girl? Please keep us posted! Myra - How is that fill treating you? Hope all is well! Okay - Where are the rest of us Maysters? Drews, Diane, Linda, 3loves, everyone, whats up guys? I am currently sitting at 177! Wow, it is still hard for me to believe how far I've come in a year and a half! My life has changed dramatically! I feel great, I have sooo much more energy! I love exercising and am considering joining a gym in addition to the weight loss center exercise program that I have been attending since surgery. The clothes, oh the clothing options that I have now are UNBELIEVABLE! I have NEVER EVER been able to shop anywhere but the plus size departments, but now, now I can! The only down side is that my credit cards are getting a little out of hand, if you know what I mean ( out of my hand and in to the store clerks hand)! I sincerely hope all of you are having a wonderful journey to meeting your weight loss goals and look forward to hearing from my long-lost Maysters soon! Have a blessed week!

    Countdown to Onederland!

Hello Onederland Warriors! I am so sorry that I haven't been on here more often to cheer you guys on! A BIG HUGE CONGRATS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE REACHED ONEDERLAND!!!! YOU SHOULD BE SOOOO PROUD!!! I want to say to those of you who are on the verge... COME ON YOU CAN DO IT!!!! DRINK THAT WATER, EAT THAT PROTEIN AND GET MOVING!!! Update on me - well, my weight loss has slowed some (4 lbs amonth or so), but I am now around 20 lbs from my goal. I have always said that I wanted to weigh 155 because that puts me in the normal BMI category, but my current goal is to reach 159 lbs! I started this journey at 318, so at 159 I will be officially half of the body I once was! How awesome is that?! It would be Onederful if I could achieve this by the new year! I feel great, I have gone from a size 26 to a size 10/12 in pants and large tops! This band is awesome! For those of you just starting out, you can and will meet your weight loss goals! Just work that band people! Have a Onederful week everyone!

    Countdown to goal.....

Hey everyone! I think this thread is perfect for me! I have 25 -2 8 more pounds that I would like to lose. I am thrilled with my weight loss so far, but it has definitely slowed down in the last month or so. I think I lost 2 or 3 pounds last month, but I have been travelling and eating too many carbs. I am trying to get back on track now. I had my band adjusted last Tuesday(the 4th) and am now progressing back in to soft foods. I have found that it is difficult for me to keep my carbs under 100 when I am on full liquids because there are lots of carbs in the slim fasts and carnation instant breakfasts that I have been drinking (even the low card CIB). Anyway.. hopefully I will be able to focus mainly on Protein again when I get back to normal foods later in the week. Do you guys track your calories and protein and carbs and fat? I really think the key to my last 25 pounds or so is gonna be in carb control (as much as I hate to say it). I am not going to eliminate them, but I'll like to keep them around 75 or 80 grams a day. I need some carbs for energy! I currently exercise for about 6 hours a week (cardio and weight training). I need to increase that but can't seem to get motivated to exercise every day ( I currently exercise on Tuesday, thursday and saturdays). I drink at least 90 - 100 ounces of Water a day. Thanks so much for starting this thread! I look forward to reaching goal along with you guys!

Hey guys! How is it going with you Maysters? I haven't been on here very much lately.. had a lot of stuff going on... vacation, wedding showers for my cousin, upcoming wedding for my cousin that I am helping to decorate and cook the food for the reception.. bachelorette trip, going to vegas next month, etc. As far as my weight... I was holding steady or down a pound or two for about a month (was a bad girl on vacation.. too much pizza, ice cream, fried food, junk, etc). So I had a fill on Tuesday! Yeah! When I walked in to the radiology room my surgeon looked at my chart and asked why I was there! I said well... I've stayed about the same weight-wise for a month. He said yes, but you've lost like 25 pounds in the last 4 moths or so. He said well... maybe you are getting close to the size that your body needs to be... I told him that I have been able to eat a lot more lately and that I am not staying full as long. SOOOO He gave me a .25 fill which puts me at 3cc total. Hopefully this fill will help me to get the last 28 or so pounds off. I am sooo excited to think that I am approaching being able to just maintain. The only down side of this whol weight loss thing is that I am going broke buyin new clothes. Man there is soooo much more to choose from when you aren't limited to plus sizes. Wahooo!!! Myra - I am happy that your fills are going okay sao far! Best of luck! Hope all is weel for you Maysters... where are you guys?

Congrats to those of you who have reached Onederland and so MANY of you guys are soooo close! Keep up the great work! Come on guys!!! WE ARE DOING IT!!!! 187 is SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN 318 was!!!

    Countdown to Onederland!

Hey guys! How's it going? I'm reporting in this week at 187!! WAHOO!! I have been on my period this last week so I'm just now getting rid of the Water weight that I gain during that time (4 -5lbs EEK!!!) I did some shopping this weekend with gift cards that I got for my birthday last week. I bought some really cute khaki pants (size 14) and cut off jeans (size 14) and a blouse (size 16) at the Gap! And guess what? I can now walk in to that store and not feel that the other shoppers and sales people are looking at me thinking "what is she doing in here? we don't have anything she can wear". Also, I went to Belk and bought a couple of blouses (size Missy's XL), a Nine West Blouse (Size Missy's 16) AND>>> I bought a Lucky Jeans Brand Blouse in a LARGE!!!! (NOTE: IT IS EXTREMELY TIGHT NON STRETCHY< SO I WILL BE A FEW MONTHS BEFORE I AM COMFORTABLE BEING SEEN IN IT - IT IS MY NEW INSPIRATION BLOUSE). I also tried on a few pairs of LUCKY Brand Jeans they have those weird sizes... they go from like a 22 to a 32. A 32 is a 14, I got them on... but didn't buy them yet, those things are pricey ($100.00). I have always loved the look of Lucky Brand stuff but could never think about wearing it... now I can. This band is AWESOME!!! WAAAHOOOOO! Also.. I never even looked in the direction of the Women's Department this weekend, I am leaving all that behind. I also tried on a couple of dresses in a large and x-large. AWESOME!!! I may become a shopping addict now... It is sooooo great to walk in to a store and not have to scurry to the Women's Sizes or Plus Sizes! I want this for ALL OF YOU!!! WE CAN DO IT!!!!:whoo: Renee - Welcome sister! A HUGE congrats on the 62 pounds that you have already lost! :clap2: That is great!! Don't worry.. those next 24 will be gone before you know it! Sandra - Welcome and way to go!! Only 10 more pounds til Onederland! WAHOOO!!!:clap2: Jen - Keep your chin up girl! I know how difficult it is to walk away from the junk.. I struggle with this as well. Are you drinking tons of water and eating at least 60 grams of Protein a day? How many calories and carbs do you average. A slight adjustment in eating habits teamed with the water and the exercise will get you moving. Wow! :DYou must be one hot Moma! I need to ride around with you for a while... being single and all. You could help me find a man! Keep up the great work!

Drews you are looking great! Keep up the hard work sister! Thanks Diane, you are soo sweet! I agree no more lingering in the past. So, are you guys exercising? I wore my pedometer yesterday and got in about 11,000 steps. WOW! I didn't realize how much movement was required to hit 10,000. I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes (3.8 mph at 7% incline) and did the stairmaster for 15 minutes and barely got 11,000. My goal is to get 10,000 in daily... I found myself stepping in place while folding laundry last night... I think my dog thought I was nuts, she kept looking down at my feet. I'll keep you guys posted on this new movement endevour.
