I took mine. They may use it in recovery room if you are really sleepy. Personally I hate wearing the machine, but I think it is helpful after surgery from the aspect that part of recovery is doing the deep breathing. The machine basically forces you to take adequate inhalation.

I am in day 5 post op, it is a struggle. I think the clear protein broth is saving me. I tend to do okay until dinner. But the warm makes me feel like I am having a meal and the protein helps with the hunger. i was instructed 1 week of clear liquids then add protein shakes and continue one more week. Cooking for holiday parties is not helping

I am in day five post up, also having very weird dreams. I have had absolutely no problems with post surgery other than dry skin, I only sleep about 3 hours and the sleep is full of odd dreams.

Well at least it’s only a couple days. Did they give you something to relax?

Do what makes YOU happy. It really isn’t for anyone to judge, it’s your body and your life. I know people just give their unsolicited opinion but politely let them know you have made a decision that is best for you and your health and walk away. I know easier said than done. my surgery is June 28th. I have only told a few people because I didn’t want to deal with everybody else’s opinion. I am also worried about the all liquid diet. I have bought bone broth, protein water and propel water. Keep positive thoughts and think of the end result. Ill be thinking of you - keep us posted!

If using insurance contact the company and get exactly what they need before authorization. Once you have that contact surgery scheduled to submit all your files to insurance. Be proactive. Call insurance company make sure they received it. Call again until you find out if approved. Once approved call the scheduler back and let them know you are approved and ready to schedule.

Hoping to get scheduled by the end of June, with all of the appointments it should go by quick

Got my approval phone call today! So excited! Now I have to wait until Tuesday to get scheduled.
