I was sleeved on 12/18 and in a client’s office on 12/27. I had no pain at that point but did feel rather week. If I could go back, I would have taken a full two weeks off.
Was at my Doc last week and was told that they would like to see me get to 230 lbs and maintain. I realize that 230 is a large number but I’m 6’5” and a former Football player and I’ll always be a big guy. I am just north of 250 now. If I can get under 250 and stay under that number for the rest of my Life, I’ll be happy.
Pre op liquid diet was the worst part about of the whole thing for me. Stay focused, stick to the plan and keep you eye on the goal. You got this! Best of luck
Curious to hear about your post op eating habits. I am 5 Months out and I still eat very little but just recently have started to experience a greater level of hunger. I haven’t over eaten at all but am worried that my sleeve is stretching
I only told my Family and a few close friends. At social events when people ask why I am not drinking and am only eating very little, I just tell them that I still have more weight to lose so I am making healthy choices
I am in sales and I go to restaurants with clients all the time. I do get sick of hearing “what....didn’t you like your food?” I just tell people that I had a lot of weight to lose so I am working on portion control.
Just take it one day at a time. For me, the 2 week pre-op liquid diet was the hardest. I was miserable. After a couple of rough post-op days, it honestly has been a breeze for me. Listen to you Doctor and Nutritionists, stick to the plan and all will be well. Best of luck!
