8 days post op and feeling good.
I have been lucky that I have only had one week where I have not lost weight. However, I know a stall is coming at some point. My Nutritionist told me that it will absolutely happen to everyone at one point or another. Stalls (early post op or later) are the Body's natural way to adjust to your new system. Keep at it and you will drop lbs. Good luck!

Fresh Cod and Salmon
I started eating fish 6 weeks out and it was easy to get down but Salmon (which I used to love) gives me unholy heartburn for some reason now

Relationships and WLS
Total loser. Drop that fool. You made a Life changing decision that was the best thing you could do for your health. If people can't see that, they are not worth your time. I am lucky that my Wife, kids and close friends have been so supportive. Those that have been judgemental or negative have been dropped from my Life. Best of luck to you!

Throwing Up acid and small amount of blood 2 days post op!
I threw up blood the day after surgery. Called my Doc and he said if it happened more than once that I should come in. Luckily, it didn't happen again.

Everyone is different but I'm six Months post up and I still can't take a big sip of water. Its not painful anymore but still uncomfortable. The few weeks were rough for me but it did get better. Hang in there!

Husband does not support my dream to have this surgery
Not cool and very unfortunate. I know its easier said than done but do what's right for you and tell him to deal with it. I am very lucky that my Wife and Kids were so supportive.

Submitted to Insurance, now I wait...
They said it wasn't medically necessary. It is unfortunate but I had it done anyway and don't regret it one bit!

What do you think will be hardest for you?
Not drinking while eating and remembering to eat slowly have been the biggest challenges for me. Best of luck!

Congratulations! My Wife has also been tremendously supportive and it has made things so much easier for me. Just keep your eye on the ball, stay focused and the group gatherings will get easier. Good luck!

Fried Chicken
Never again. I have accepted the fact that I just can't eat fried food. Fired food, pizza, pasta, beer, etc., brought me the point of being dangerously obese in the first place. Not going back there!

Help
My advice would be to always think “Protein first.” Avoid sugars and carbs as much as possible.

I’m in Cincinnati. I’ve had wonderful experiences with UC Health (they saved my Dad’s Life) but I had my VSG with Dr. Curry at Journeylite Physicians
