I got a rash too. But I left the hospital with it, they think I had a reaction to the sticky film they cover your belly with when they do surgery. Mine stayed with me for two weeks...all gone now. I was sleeved May 14 and I am happy to say that I am almost in Onederland! Weighed in at 200 lbs this morning! I was 250 at Christmas, 232 when I began my pre-op diet and 226 the day of surgery...color me happy!

Turns out it was a Keto rash !!! My surgeon had me on stage 1 for too long three weeks , my body was reacting to no carbs . I am starting tommorow 06/13/2018 stage 2 ....puree foods 🙌.
I was literally starving 😓. My rash has Been going away almost completely. Thanks everyone for your support!!!

I have an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday morning . Will definitely keep you posted of what he says is wrong with me . I can't just fijure out what can it be , since i am doing only clear liquid.

I was sleeve on the 23 of May 2018 as well. Today 5/27/18 I still have those very uncomfortable gas cramps, not to much pain. I can hold down Water and veggie broth only , if i drink Powerade I get dehydrated very quickly.

congrats! Every day should get better from here. Drinking gets easier, walking get easier etc. Be patient with yourself and heal well

The first week will be a little tough but watch next week. You will notice each day is better and better!

Thank you Nikki_Nik87 . I guess it is all part of the process for everyone at one point , the not knowing .....and in the other hand is excitement as you say " My new journey begins ".

I really did not started feeling this anxious and nervous till 3 days ago , when reality hits . Trust me a was the same way as well ,doing all kind of research in the web....found good and bad ......so i just gave it a rest and talked to my surgeon ( It was so funny cause i had a full list of questions 1-16 questions) and he answered all very patiently. We both were laughing at the end he said He had never seen a patient ever with so may question and heck of questions . Thank you for your support. I am pretty sure you'll be OK as well.

I'm feeling the same way I'm scheduled for June 4th and I'm freaking out thinking about my kids if something goes wrong. I've honestly just been researching to make myself feel better to see the actual statistics of something bad happening and house minuscule they are. And talking to my husband, sister, counselor and whoever else will listen to me about it. I'm so scared but I keep telling myself it will be like 2 seconds to me and I'll be awake and everything will be over and done with. It will be ok. You will be ok and be an ascribe energetic mommy for your kiddos. good luck tomorrow

Having my Sleeve surgery this Wednesday 05/23/2018 at 9:30 am. I am a nerve wreck 😓 right now. I can't stop thinking if something goes wrong, my children (8 of them). Which they are the main reason why I am doing my surgery, they need healthy mom to be able and play sports ⚽ with them and not get tired in 10 minutes.....and of course 2nd reason is for me to feel 💃 sexy again.

Try to keep all the reason you are doing this in the front of your mind. Do not let yourself dwell on the very very small 1% complication rate.
This is a very safe surgery and you will be fine and so much happier when you get this part behind you.
it is the what ifs that will drive you nuts. try to stay busy - 8 kids that should not be hard

Pretty much an inert metal....

The most common metal allergy is nickel, which is in sterling silver in different amounts. Titanium and stainless steel don't have any nickel in them as far as I know, they are considered hypoallergenic.

I have metal allergies (chromium and nickel) and they are severe. So had this discussion with my surgeon, one of the reasons titanium is used is that it’s not something many (anyone?) is allergic to and it’s not magnetic (you can get a mri with them).
Worth a conversation with the dr, but not typically a big concern

I have a plate and 12 screws in my upper right arm, due to a severe fracture that had to be surgically reduced. All titanium, I am also,a quite allergic person including nickel and other metals. Been in there since February 2010, not one bit of trouble.😝
FYI,did you know Canadian nickels are magnetic, American are not. With the high amounts of their native nickel in the Precambrian Sheild, they can afford to make their 5 cent pieces of a purer metal.
