  2. I'm 3 weeks post-op today. I was thinking that how come this is taking so long to get to goal. Then I realized I have been obese for most of my 63 years, so my steady progress is very exciting. I was 333.8 lbs today down 30.2 lbs since starting liquid diet and 23.4 lbs since surgery. So far my only problem has been food portions. I eat/chew very slowly and only put 3-4 oz on my plate. I really can't tell if I am full till it is too late. I'm thinking I should just eat 2-3 oz at a time to avoid that horrible full, bloating feeling. What have been your experiences?
  3. Had my 2 week post op today. Down 23 pounds. WOW. I am nervous and excited to start soft foods. Best news, I can get in the pool finally.
  4. Hope your insurance approval goes smoothly. Unfortunately I was self play, so the process went really fast. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Hello neighbor. Where did you have your surgery? I used Dr Podolsky at Delray Medical Center. Having a great experience with her team.
  6. Today I am one week post-op. Down 10.4 lbs since morning of surgery. No gas pains, just a little bloating and its getting better with Gas-x. Still on full liquids for another week, and not even missing solid food. Who would have thought I would not be hungry. WOW. Time for a protein shake.
  7. Good luck. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  20. It just blows my mind that people are so negative on WLS . I also have surgery in 8 days, June 26. Everyone supports my decision to get the sleeve. Friends, family, and co workers can't wait till I get healthy. If anyone was negative I would just ignore them. My wife is my support system. She made goal on weight watchers and will be right by me on this new journey. HANG IN THERE. This is for you. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  25. My surgery date is June 26 for the Sleeve. Just had my cardiac clearance today. All that is left is clearance from my PCP and a pre-op education class. My first appointment with the surgeon was April 18. I am cash pay so this process has gone really fast. My PCP has wanted me to do the sleeve for years, but I thought I could do this myself. The orthopedic doctors said I needed back surgery and both knees replaced. After doing some research I found out that while the surgeries could be successful, I would not have a positive outcome unless I lost a lot of weight. Made an appointment with the surgeon the next day and am looking forward to getting my life back. My wife is my biggest supporter and I hope to match her success. She made her goal weight at weight watchers a few months ago and tho it will take me a little while, I will join her.
