Bad day
I didn’t lose for the first at least two weeks. Your body is healing and focused on that, not focused on losing weight. No More weighing yourself for a bit
-
What did you tell people at work?
I didn’t tell people I work with. The weight doesn’t fly off 30 lbs at a time, so when they see you everyday it’s not as noticeable. My body, my business

Returned to work too soon?
You’ll be tired for awhile, it’s normal. Keep up with your water!

How old were you when?
Bypass at 37! A shattered ankle sidelined me for about a year and I gained so Much weight during that time. It was time to take control

Large-capacity pouch 6 weeks post op
I also had the bypass and was told that no two patients are the same. I can also eat more then 1/2 c of food but I usually don’t. Sometimes I accidentally overdo it and I’m in a great deal of pain.

Starting to plan thanksgiving & Christmas
To each their own then. I explained to my family that when I had this surgery, things would look different for the whole family. We are a team, and we are all Making healthy changes. I don’t see it all “punishment” I’m teaching them to be healthier individuals.

Starting to plan thanksgiving & Christmas
I’m just saying the food doesn’t make the holiday. Your family will do fine without cinnamon rolls. Just explain to them that things will be different moving forward

Good for you! It’s so nice to hear compliments! I recently dyed my hair red (I was blonde) so that’s the first thing people see, and that seems to be the only thing they comment on ? Oh well

Does Having Bigger Boobs Can Save My Relationship?
Is the relationship worth saving?

Back to work/school - what did you tell people?
I had told my teaching team about seeing a nutritionist and starting a new work out regime back in the spring (true) and that I had my gallbladder out in July (also true). Basically I’m just going to tell people that after I had my gallbladder removed there were so many foods I could no longer tolerate and thus, an added bonus was additional weight loss.

Letter of medical necessity?
Ask to see another doc in the same practice if possible so it doesn’t take forever to get an appt with a brand new doctor in a brand new practice. The wait can sometimes be months

WHY?
I had the bypass because there is long term research on it. I didn’t feel like there was enough long term research on the sleeve
