  1. Yay! So happy to hear everything went and is going well for you. Congrats!
  2. Yes, that was his point that you dont *need* beyond them, nithing more. He never ssid they were equal or metabolized the same. Just that even the average non bodybuilder mom could get the necessary protein to meet basic needs from a regular trip tp the grocery store.
  3. MattZ, I am not in any way defending his info. I am wondering though if maybe he meant it as it would pertain to the malabsorption feature in some of these procedures? It will be a good question for me to ask in July if nothing else. Thanks for the article link!
  4. My prayers are with you! Wishing u a smooth surgery, easy recovery and much success!
  5. Yes, he told us in the context of not worrying about finding the priciest or highest protein content in powders that just the grocery store premier and similar would be sufficient. He also never specified a timeframe as to how often our bodies would be ready/able to absorb more.
  6. I am still pre op and havent had a 1 on 1 with the surgeon yet. However, at our seminar, he told us not to go too crazy with the protein. He said the products with 20-30 grams were more than enough because of the absorption rate in our bodies. He stated that more than that (in a single product or single sitting) would be overkill, unnecessary, and have no adittional benefit. I know that isnt the same as what you asked, but have any of you been told this?
  7. Good luck, hoping it will be a quick yes!
  8. Definitely need some rosemary in there too.
  9. Im still pre op but i know when i was taking care of an ill family member who didnt like plain chicken broth, o simmered it or put it in a crock pot with carrots, celery, garlic etc then just strained it when ready to use. Tastes like homemade chicken noodle soup (almost)
  10. I actually sampled a blue one (blue raspberry i think) I didnt think it was terrible. It was not something i would crave but it wasnt horrible.
  11. Yeah yeah... all i hear is blah blah blah... haha! Im kidding. Im just so ready!
  12. Getting there!!!! I still have 49 dsys till i can submit to insurance. Feels so far away ?
  13. Amazing results! All of your hard work paid off!
  14. If it means anything, I along with all of the others on the site, will be here for you. You can do this!!!!
  15. Good luck to all 6 of the people scheduled for surgery tomorrow. I hope to hear that everything went well with all of you as soon as you are all able to update!
  16. Good luck with your surgery. Hope everything goes welland u have a fast recovery.
  17. Well said screwballski (hard to say your name with a straight face) lol
  18. I thought the same and then sat down and figured it out. its actually 8-9 hours a day you wont be drinking if u count the eating time itself. Then 8 hours of sleep. That leaves about 7-8 hours to drink so as long as u are getting approximately 8-10 ounces an hour, you should be able to hit your minimum mark. 2-2.5 ounces every 15 mins makes it seem more doable to me than hearing 64....lol
  19. Good luck Flowery and I'm very sorry about your mom!
  20. I started in February, mine is 6 mos also.
  21. Congrats to u as well! Hope aetna is as fast for me when the time comes!
  22. Right there with u Bellasoo. Im so impatient!
