MdmMargott got a reaction from Frustr8 in Hardest Part (outside of eating)
Stalls. It just sucks when I wake up and number on the scale is the same as yesterday.
Social eating and drinking. I never realized how much socializing is around food and i just feel so uneasy in these situations at the moment.
Fear of not losing the weight/gaining all of it back/not being successful. It's always at the back of my mind.

MdmMargott got a reaction from Sleevie May in When can I Keto - 2 weeks post no loss
If you eat no more than 30 grams of carbs and 65 grams of Proteins every day, you already are in ketosis and you have all the benefits of starvation ketosis.
You just don't use fat from your diet, you use fat from your body.
    VLCDs are ketogenic diets, too.

MdmMargott got a reaction from Taoz in Gained weight? Is this normal??
It's just Water weight, nothing to worry about. If you ate only 500 kcal that day, your body had to burn some fat to support your basal metabolism, even if the scale showed otherwise.

MdmMargott reacted to Abrial in How did you choose between VSG and Bypass?
When I started the journey I wanted VSG. My surgeon said it was possible but to keep RNY in mind. After going through the upper GI test and an esophagus motility test (which is the worst test I have had so far in my life) it was discovered that I have weak esophagus muscles and GERD (didn’t know). My surgeon recommended the bypass instead to prevent more acid reflux.

Per his earlier advice, I had researched both and was okay with his recommendation. I would have liked the VSG, but my body voted bypass. Lol sometimes it not about what we want but what we need instead.

MdmMargott reacted to lex2287 in regretting my sleeve
I regretted my sleeve the first few days after surgery as well, but have grown to love my sleeve.. it was the absolute best decision I could have ever made for myself.. it is hard in the beginning because you are relearning how and what to eat. It is not the end of the world.. I am much more satisfied now with food than I ever was when I was bigger. My relationship with food has changed. once you are able to have regular food again it will get better. The worst part of the entire thing to me was the liquid and purée part of the diet. Don’t do anything to sabatoge your surgery, right now you are at risk of having a leak. If you ever feel like talking please reach out. I am here as well as many others in this group..

MdmMargott got a reaction from lizzieat in April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?
Mine is scheduled for April 20th.
This is my first surgery ever and I'm so scared and freaking out about everything right now. I've been diagnosed with diabetes and PCOS, so I keep telling myself I'm doing it for my health and don't allow myself to have second thoughts. I'll just make it through and things will get better, I know that.
