  1. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!! It does get much better!!
  2. I’m having the same problem. The nurse I spoke to thinks either the sips are too big.... or acid reflux. I’m on protonix in morning and night and it’s still not helping. For my sips I’ve been using a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon to drink from and sometimes it works other time nothing is getting down thier! If you find anything that works do tell!! Pain when swallowing

I had that for the last week!! Is the pain in the middle of your chest a few seconds after you swallow? If so I literally use a measuring spoon to drink. I use the half teaspoon as a scoop to spoon my drinks! It’s sounds so silly ... but at least I don’t hurt. Smh. I had to go in this week for a few bags of IV fluids because I wasn’t getting enough fluids. I’m getting more Fluid with the measuring spoon now because it’s not hurting swallowing.... I guess whatever works 🤷🏽‍♀️ Sleeved April 9, 2018
  4. I had mine April 9th... and I’ve been having a difficult time getting the fluids and the protein shakes in. When I sip it’s easy to let the fluid trickle down your throat... but about 7 seconds later there is pressure and discomfort. Now sure what that is but I’ve already contact the docs office about it. Cause I haven’t heard that from anyone else. Incision sights still slightly sore and everything else is pretty good! How about you guys?!? Sleeved April 9, 2018

    Now on the bench!

I had mine on Monday and I am having a problem getting all the water and protein in [emoji30]. When I drink it feels like it’s getting stuck and then the feeling dissipates. But it doesn’t encourage me to take another sip. I’m hoping it will get better. Sleeping is an issue as well but that’s for mother day. Lol. Hope you are well
  6. I had the procedure done at Reston Hospital Center. It was fantastic. Everyone was great. Very different from a lot of other my other experiences in hospitals I’ve had to deal with when taking care of my father and all his ailments. I’m feeling good. I’m still sore all at my incision sites and want to take care of them the best I can. I have this random cough that puts pressure on them that driving me crazy at the moment. And I’m still trying to get all the fluids in. Yesterday I was trying to get protein into a water bottle and took a big swig of water to make room of the protein completely not thinking... yeah.... that didn’t go so well. Lol. But other than that trying to stay focused on these clear liquids. I haven’t been to any support groups. I didn’t know about them, but I’m down to check them out. Does anyone have any information on any that are coming up? I’ll look for that Facebook group!! Do I have to be invited?
  7. I wish I would have found you guys before surgery! Lol. You guys are awesome. My Surgery date was April 9th. Home and resting now. I have 2 jobs so the time off is different between the two because of the type of work they are. One desk the other way more physical. I do have to add that this office is AMAZING!!! I actually started my process at MedStar Washington and it was the worse!!!! Night and day to Dr. Fitzer and his incredible team! So much so that my bestie who dropped me off went up to get her process started while we were waiting to get checked in for pre-op. No regrets!! I look forward to getting to know ya’ll

    Just left hospital...

Thanks for the responses. I’m looking for the cues for that full tummy so I’m noticing every little thing. [emoji5]
  9. Hey everyone! I was discharged today. Surgery was 4/9. I am feeling a gurgling when I sip my fluids... did anyone else feel that with their new tummy?
