his office is on spindrift in williamsville- i see him next week, my first appt with him since my band. he was the one that actually referred me to dr. posner but i ended up with dr. hoffman, which i am glad of.

i was already seeing an endocrinologist for the diabetes. if you should have to see one dr. lippes is excellent

Constantly weighing yourself?
i dont have that problem anymore- i dont weigh myself even everyday now, but when i did losing the scale is what helped me. i knew i was having a problem and all it does is build that negativity. good luck

i didnt lose the whole 5% and my surgery was approved. it depends on your insurance.

Constantly weighing yourself?
i used to do the same thing at one time. i literally would weigh myself and depending what the scale said wuld determine if i would eat or not. i actually had to throw the scale out, which i did.it was a scale addiction today, i do have a scale but no longer have the problem- i can weigh myself nce a day

okay maybe i will try to go next month. i have had high cortisol levels in the past and had to have the same test- mine were always negative so dont worry

Judy, i know you think it is taking a long time to get through the process. i felt the same way. i attended the seminar 6/28/07 (i know the exact date because that is my birthday). my first appt was the end of september(the 3 hr appt) and i was banded 3/31/08. i think feeling the way you do is the reason you should come and walk- you need us to support you. so i hope i see you sat

i only had dr.hoffman because that is who they assigned me too. i would have been fine with either dr.posner or dr. forbes, too val

you see the doctor 1 week after surgery and then at the 6 wk point. then the next visit is 6-8 wks out. plus dr hoffman has a walking group that meets every sat at the juicery in delaware park to walk. its open to all. we meet at 8am. some are other docs patients and some havent even had surgery yet. its hoffman's little support group

hi all i did have dr.hoffman who was great, but i heard dr. forbes is good also. when you are finally banded it will be worth all the bs. the nurses at buffalo general weregreat- and i am a nurse so that is a compliment. hang in there it will be worth it in the long run

Anyone a Nurse?
there could alot of things causing your symptoms from panic attacks to perimenopause symptoms. as a nurse the best advice i can give is to call your doctor

Urinary Catheters
i had a catheter placed during surgery and it was removed about 6 hrs after. it wasnt too bad val

glue instead of stitches
i also had the glue (dermabond). i think it was great. i could shower right away and the healing time was shorter val

Scheduled for Surgery in July but really scared.
Robert, I had my surgery on 3/31 and it was the best decision i ever made. i also had alot of difficulty losing weight prior to surgery. the lapband really gave me the motivation. since surgery i have lost about 27 lbs. by seeing some weight loss this has given me the incentive to keep it going. good luck! val

Since the band, has grocery bill gone down?
i have found that my grocery bill is less- and i eat out less. because of what i need to eat, i bring my lunch everyday which saves me money, also

To tell or not to tell co-workers??
i told my coworkers, because they would notice by the change in my eating. aquaintances i didnt tell, if they wanted to know what surgery i had i would tell them i had my gall bladder out

What happens during an echocardiogram?
it is just a sonogram of the heart

What mushies do you/did you eat?
i ate cottage cheese, yogurt, blended tuna fish, blended egg salad and blended chicken with salsa, blended chili

chest pain? Gas or full?
i was banded on 3/31 and this happened to me for the first time. i got the chest pain, felt like ineeded to burp but couldnt. i felt like i was going to vomit but didnt and it did go away in afew minutes.
