  1. Hi all. I was banded by Dr. K. on 6/12 (almost a month already!) and I'll be traveling back to CO for my first fill next week. I had my surgery done at Parker and its a wonderful place - I only have great things to say about the whole experience. I was a little apprehensive going into surgery (I cried like a baby all the way to the hospital) but the past month has gone quite well. I plan on Dr. K doing my first fill and then finding a fill dr. in GA. I haven't lined that up just yet so we'll see how it goes. Having to go back to Denver is definitely tempting - its a beautiful place - I loved the weather when I was there - and my hair loves the dry climate! I found the "considering Dr. K" thread so helpful when I was preparing for my surgery - everyone had such positive things to say about him (all true and then some!!) and the LBT forums in general. Thank goodness for this site! Even though I tend to be a lurker (I never think I have much to add!) I just want to thank everyone for their support and humor and great information! Christine
  2. Thanks CathyChatts. Had my surgery yesterday afternoon. Feeling pretty good so far (although I am relying on my Lortab alot!) I was a little teary eyed on the way to the hospital yesterday, wondering if I was making a mistake. I snapped out of it by the time I reached the surgery center though. I flew to Denver to get banded since I am a self pay. The doctor and staff were so supportive and attentive which made it easier I am so looking forward to getting home tomorrow!
  3. Thanks for sharing your adventures, long2bthin, cathychatts & hunzi. You all sound like your on the path to a great recovery. Your stories really ease my nervousness about what's about to happen. knowledge is power as they say! greythope & julesk - wishing you both a easy time - I'm sandwiched right between you both on Thursday. I look forward to hearing how you made out. Congratulations to all Jazzy Junes who are on the other side of their surgery - and to all those who are coming up this month - my thoughts are with you and good luck! I raise my (protein) drink to all us Jazzy Junes!
  4. Sounds like your doing great, Mary. I too am a 50+ Jazzy June and I'm being banded on Thursday. I'm a little nervous as the day nears and VERY anxious to get on the other side of this. Ooh I hope I get roses (maybe from DH?!) Hope you get to sleep on your left side soon! Christine
  5. Jazzy Junies - I love it! Jules - mine is on June 12 too in Colorado.
  6. Hi June 08 Bandsters! Traveling to CO from GA to have mine done by Dr. Kirshenbaum on June 12. Very excited to get started!
