  1. I wouldn’t have cared, but that’s just me. Some people, like myself, can’t judge and guesstimate other people’s weight. I say this because I assume she was just looking at your size and said this. But again, this is just me was it her place as a nurse to say this, maybe not but I don’t see it as harm
  2. I had sleep apnea years ago that I mentioned to doc. Sleep study was fine; I did an at home one but it came back inconclusive so I wet to an overnight one at a lab and it was hard to sleep but ok. No big deal
  3. I had a sleep study as well as a chest X-ray
  4. I am taking the chewable form of this for my all liquid post op diet and they taste horrible
  5. I was prescribed Tylenol with codeine both for my VSG back in 2011 and recently for my RNY. i find that this particular medication is not that effective for treating my pain but alas, the pain is tolerable
  6. Congrats! Everything will be fine. Well wishes for a fast recovery
  7. I just had a revision from sleeve to RNY and I too did not have a bowel prep the night before; just 2 week liquid diet. Truet me when I say, you will be cleared out lol. I had diarrhea multiple times during those 2 weeks. I had regular poop in the beginning and then two liquid poops before surgery date. And besides, we are never fully cleaned out anyhow
  8. Good luck to those whom are having surgery tomorrow!
  9. Yikes, that is scary and gross
  10. I can’t stand muscle milk. I feel the same about it as you do. I like premier protein clear with some crystal light in it. the premier protein shakes are good, I just don’t like the chocolate based ones.
  11. Yea I added crystal light to it and it still happened. Just weird i won’t stop drinking it though lol. I prefer it over the shakes
  12. Have any of you experienced this? I have with only clear protein (juice like) protein. I had it with my sleeve and now my rny but only post-op. Pre-op it left no film. i tried brushing my teeth and using mouthwash etc but nothing seems to take the film away. When I move my tongue around I can feel it and then I just spit it out.
  13. My sisters was 5/10 and I wish I felt good. My back is killing me!! Compensating for my lack of strong abdominals. I can’t get any sleep
  14. I asked my surgeon this and he said there is no medical reasoning to take it out at the time of bariatric surgery. For them to do it, it would have to be medically necessary. I am sorry for the OP that you had to go through this. I fear this as well.
  15. My surgeon stated we were not use straws ever again due to taking in air
  16. I am 2 days post op and I gained 10 i am already down 4 though. Been peeing every hour helps lol
  17. Thanks! I plan on getting outside to walk in the morning before it gets too hot here. Walking does make the pain go away slightly. But still hard for me to sleep
  18. Overnight only. Surgery was 7:30 am Thursday and I went home at 2pm Friday. Had no complications *knock on wood* and thank you!
  19. I just had my revision from sleeve to RNY yesterday. Surgeon said all went well and I am home. Have no problem with fluids but now just started drinking protein which is ok. I am keeping a log of everything I drink. I am having a lot of back pain. But I know how hard the operating table is and hospital beds suck. And it’s so hard for me to get comfortable here at home. I am In a big arm chair with an ottoman and a heating pad on my back but nothing is helping really. I already know I won’t be able to sleep in my bed so the chair it’ll be. I have Tylenol with code in which is taking the edge off. I am also peeing sooooo much which is annoying but it helps with me walking more I guess lol
  20. Wow, you look amazing! And your spirit is just unbelievable!! I love it. Keep going strong, I just know you will get healthier as time goes on. You got this!! Thanks for sharing as well
  21. Holy crap...now I am totally nervous tomorrow for my revision. i don’t want to be too nervous that my Blood pressure goes up. So hard to keep calm
  22. When I first had my VSG, they wanted just a list of various diets I have tried but they also wanted documentation of my weight recorded over some time. I ended up getting my medical records from my gynecologist & primary physician. I also sent over my log of how often I was going to the gym during that time (most gyms keep an online catalog that you can access as well).
