My wedding ring fits again! Haven't been able to wear it for almost 2 years!
I was determined that I was going to resize myself instead of the ring. 2 months out from surgery, the ring is tight but it will get better.

I have been too hungry to have Protein Shakes. I mean real hunger, not head hunger. I eat all of my Protein and the shakes are just added calories at this point.
I have one once in a while if I eat a lower protein meal (certain salads).
Sleeved may 9, down 33 lbs or so, not weighing in daily - too stressful 😬

"Humans are the fattest species on record at birth. A baby human is born with about 15 percent body fat—a higher percentage than any other species in the world. Only a small number of other mammals make it into the double digits at birth: about 11 percent for guinea pigs and around 10 percent for harp seals, for example. Even our nearest primate relatives are not born as fat as we are."

    Just do it!
If you read, you will hear a lot of people say they wish they did surgery sooner. Very few people regret it.
I knew my surgeon from work, didn't make it weird.

I found a pair of jeans i had as a kid and they’re actually to big. (Why on earth can i fit kid sizes??)

My second non scale victory was some butthole parked super close to my car, so the door barely opened, i was still able to squeeze inside.

Sorry, that was for @Creekimp13, not sure how your name got "quoted" - very weird, but my pc and phone have been acting up.... apologies to you.
I didn't say or imply anyone was a vegetarian / vegan, just stated that being one wouldn't prevent cancer either.

While I appreciate your "links" to all these horrible cancer related posts, I find it overkill. We are all adults here and hopefully wise enough to conduct our own research to know what side effects could come about.
Honestly, if you were to read every medical journal out there, you would find a link to cancer with everything we put into our bodies. So, thank you for these posts, but allow us to conduct our own research. For myself, I have / do conduct my own research before I change my lifestyle.
And the truth is - your diet doesn't need to be all Vegetarian or Vegan to prevent cancer.

Correlation does not equal causation. The most basic of statistics courses teach you that. For people who were between the ages 50-65, high Protein diets positively correlated with increased risk of cancer. This doesn't mean that high protein diets are causing cancer. There are so many other factors to take into consideration.

I got my first tattoo earlier this week and don’t have to worry about a potentially longer healing time because my diabetes is in remission.

Buy jeans of the rack and they always fit
Not being able to buy pants at costco because I was too big and now because I'm too small
Walk around a crowded room without stress
Got scuba certified and was actually the smallest there, blew my mind as this is a dream come true. I'm going on a diving excursion by myself and not stressed, boom.
I went zip lining in Costa Rica
I actually will eat in front of others, huge for me
I'm not worried about being judged for my grocery cart
I no longer wish to be or feel invisible
    I tuck my shirts in
I love getting dressed up and going to events
I can talk with anybody and be present and not focused on negative thoughts
I can enjoy social settings again
I can swim for hours at a time again
I am not afraid of failing anymore because of my weight
I am more aware of others needs and am more able to help them. When somebody drops something I quickly pick it up for them.
I saved ten bucks on flannel pj pants because instead of the adult xxl I used to wear I fit into a youth size
I say yes to adventures now
I have the courage to say no too without beating myself up
The negative self talk is being replaced with thoughts of gratitude
Food is finally just food again

My wife died in 2011 and it was a sad day when I had to remove my wedding ring because it got to tight to wear. Just last week I was able to put it back on. I've also been able to move the car seat closer to the wheel. At work I can fit into any of the safety harnesses when using power equipment rather than the biggest harness, and my weekly grocery bill has dropped significantly.

I haven’t been around the forums in a little while. Today’s non scale victory is clothing. Prior to surgery I wore a 3x top/size 24 jeans. Today I went to try on clothes and fit a large top/size 17 jeans. I’m so proud of my progress even though it can’t really see a difference most days

Had to go to the ER, hurt my foot. Regular set of questions, smoker, drinker, height, weight...
I told the Triage Nurse I didn't know my current weight because I don't weigh myself
    Nurse: "ummm, i'd say 130lbs"
    Bi+(#...!!???!!???
Im actually 156lbs (we checked) but if I look 130lbs I'll take it!

oh lord this one was an eye opener for me. I was the guy that was always hot. I wore shorts and tee shirts in December. THEN i dropped the weight and i freeze what is left of my ass off now.
I own 6 long sleeve shirts now. That is 6 more than i ever owned before.
Being cold and sitting making my tailbone hurt are the 2 biggest surprises from the sleeve.

    Clothes! Clothes! Clothes!
Besides necessity, there are a few reasons it is fun:
    1. I am no longer limited to plus sizes. Exploring stores and having more options is amazing, whole new world of possibilities. 🤩
    2. My body has a better shape so it is actually possible to look good in clothes. I don't feel like a blob anymore 😊
    3. If done right, shopping is decent exercise. Lots of walking. Bring a water bottle and get to work! 😉
Side note: I do love pedicures, but have actually gone less since losing weight bc it is also kinda exciting how easily I can reach my toes! No more huffing and puffing!

  22. Thanks

Two weeks ago I was able to join my husband and group of friends on a 2 day motorcycle ride touring the Frio Canyon and Hill Country in central Texas. We also visited the LBJ ranch, Garrison Distillery and Luckenbach. All told, 560 miles ridden from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. I could never have done this 5 months ago.
I am in the white shirt😎

    First 2 NSV:
I fit into a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to fit in 3 years! And they actually fit well. There was no sucking in or squeezing involved.

I was able to zip closed my north face jacket I have never been able to zip closed. I bought it last year on clearance ($20!!). I haven't been able to buy a winter jacket I could close in years (short with an oversized bottom).
