I'm a week post-op, and I'm still watching TV with meals. Do you think it's maybe okay in the liquid stage? It's taking me forever to drink a half cup of soup, so I can't imagine sitting at the table for that long. At what stage should I try to quit TV with meals? Any tricks? It seems like the last thing I'm holding on to at this point!

I would also recommend calling your surgeon's office. I was given a scopolamine patch to prevent nausea, and it worked wonders. I wasn't discharged until they were sure I wasn't nauseous. Also: hugs!! It sounds like a stressful couple of days. It really does get better!
