    Any April surgery buddies

Isn't it amazing how quickly our tastes buds change? Some of the ones I liked before, I can barely stomach. I know you are ready to move on to the next stage! It will be so much easier to get protein in from different sources. I had bought the unflavored powder too, been adding it to my broths and pudding. Every little bit helps, that's for sure. Wishing you all the best!

    Any April surgery buddies

I had my sleeve done on the 10th and feeling pretty good and down 11 lbs from surgery day. Still sore at the larger incision site where they removed the stomach, but that is to be expected. So far, I have been able to keep up with my fluids and protein, but the shakes are so sweet now, that they have been harder to get down. I bought some of the soups and hot chocolate from the Bariatric Pal store with the extra protein and just got them in today, so that will be a nice change up. Hope everyone is doing well and to everyone that will be sleeved soon, I wish you all the best!

    Any April surgery buddies

My surgery date is set for April 10th,... Day 4 of my pre-op diet. Thankfully, along with the liquid diet, I am able to have one meal with 4oz protein and 3 servings of non-starchy vegetables. It really helps to break it up. It is interesting how much the pre-op diet differs between doctors. I wish you all the best!

    Any other April 2018 Sleevers?

I am military as well, we're at Benning. Left Stewart about a year ago after being there for 5 years. The process took about 5 months for me, but they are very thorough and ensure that you are set up for success. I wish you all the best!
  7. I am pretty new on here. I started the program in November and will be getting the gastric sleeve. I just received my surgery date for April. I am so grateful for the support and advice I have received this far from everyone. I wish you all the best as you continue on your journey.

    Any other April 2018 Sleevers?

I was really surprised, as I was expecting full liquid. I most likely will be doing a lot of shakes. I already do them, especially in the morning, as I am not a breakfast eater. I think I may try some of the ready to drink premier shakes, I keep reading and hearing good things about them. I currently use Lean Shake from GNC. I bought a couple of those Torani sugar free syrups, so I can have a variety of flavors.

    Any other April 2018 Sleevers?

Mine is not necessarily a liquid diet, which surprised me. It is broken down into 5 small meals/snacks a day for two weeks- 1 meal consists of 4 oz of lean protein, 3 serving non-starchy vegetables, and two servings of fat. The other 4 meals/ snacks are either a protein shake of some sort, protein bar, or Greek yogurt/cottage cheese.
