    Pound of cure

Yeah I am still around. Other than some random posts on my activity page. I go through the forums to see if there is anything I feel passionate about, enough to post on but life is crazy right now. All the kids are in sports, I'm coaching, work, gym, chores, LIFE! Plus I have had a bad cold for a week now. But my journey is still going strong. Still loosing. And no complications How are you doing?

    Pound of cure

Dr. Weiner was my surgeon. And his whole program has literally changed my life and the way I look at life and food. I have been in my opinion extremely successful and have not struggled with his program. His insight and how he can sit and talk with you and give you so many different options has been so helpful!
  3. Haven't hit a stall but this week with only a 2 lbs loss after hitting the gym for 5 days is really getting to me.

I had a stall for 2 weeks, lost a couple pounds, then started the gym and now I'm stalled again!

Think of your gym time not for weightloss but as preplastic surgery. I promise the more you work out (whether you lose fat or gain muscle through it) the better your skin tone, tightness and elasticity will look in the long run... (Learning that now, too late after taking a break from the gym during a recent very active losing phase, I HAVE TO GO BACK)...

      YOU'RE DOING GREAT!!!

  4. So I am not 5 weeks post op RNY. I didn't realize just how much food and $$ I would waste. And to a point it is starting to get to me. Any one else having this issue? I originally bought my vitamins after sampling them pre op. Now post op I CANT stand them and have now switched to capsules. (By my doctors recommendation) So right there is 60$ throw away from my first bag of vitamins that I can not take. I bought my protein powder and shakes before hand also. After I tried and drank them for a couple weeks. Loved them pre op. Now post op I CAN NOT STAND ANY artificial protein. I am strictly getting protein from food. So that is another 140$ wasted on full containers of protein that I cant drink. (even the unflavored IS flavored to me) Making food is where I feel I am wasting also. I have been doing a lot of been soups and chili's and throw everything in crock pot and bam I have food. But its so much food and I am not eating all that much I am throwing also away. I had one batch that I did freeze but when I thawed it I could not eat it. Tasted off and I did not like it. So the extra food I throw away that's also throwing away $. I get my new tummy cant take in that much and I will be wasting food. I just did not realize just how much that would be.....
  5. Addicted to that gym life... LOL

Idk why before I didn't want to go but now OMG best feeling ever.

    Being wasteful.......

My aunt is now wanting to get the surgery done. Using my surgeon too ! Told her I would give it all to her. Great products just didn't work for me.

That protein water was the worst!!!! My fiancé drank them just to get them gone but even he struggled.

    Being wasteful.......

I am taking Bariatric Advantage. I bought the chewy bites in black cherry. But am now on capsules. I am going to post on my bariatric groups on FB that I have these and find them a new home.

    Being wasteful.......

At first I was splitting my protein with coffee but now cant even drink that. I was a big coffee drinker before. and now even trying different brands and flavors I cant do that either. I kind of like my taste aversion seeing as it keeps my diet simple and I don't have to have that mental fight of what will I eat today. I stick with the few things I can eat and like. And that is all I really crave. I used to drink Propel because just plain water was hard for me to drink but now that is all I want to drink. I crave water! I have recently started to like drinking milk which I didn't before so now I am on the hunt for the best milk to drink. I only have maybe 1/4 cup if that but still want it to count. I have tried masked that "off" taste but I HATE and cant handle spice. lol. No hot sauce here I would die HAHA. This week has been better about waste. I made some beans and ham (without the ham really) soup in the crock pot this weekend. I just used a couple ham hocks with my beans and lots of veggies. and I have ate that all week for lunch and some days supper. I don't think I will have to throw that much out really so that is def a step in the right direction.

They are all open. So unfortunately no. I did mention something to my doc office that is they know someone who is having trouble affording these things I will donate them. Just hard to say if someone will even want them seeing they are open. But literally maybe once scoop gone out of each of the 4 full containers I have. and maybe less than 5 vitamins out of a bag of 60. :( o well we live and we learn right.
  11. For anyone that did body shots. What all did you focus on capturing. I am thinking of taking one say in a favorite outfit that I wear now and then some in bra and panties. Capture both. Then in a few months take photos in the same outfit to see the changes.
  12. 2 days post op. I'm doing great!

  13. Two days left. Tomorrow is clear liquids then Wednesday is the day. Going to be doing pictures tomorrow and making a couple new videos for my youtube channel. Then prep for when I come home. If your curious as to what I have bought to prepare and take to hospital and what I am doing to prep coming home check it out.

Fat 2 Fab is my channel. See ya over there.

  14. Day 3 pre-op diet. Finally past the head hunger games. OMG that was kind of rough. But glad that it  is gone. Not even feeling hungry today. I got my breakfast protein shake down but other than that not feeling like I need anything else.

    August bypassers/sleevers

Started my pre op diet today. Surgery is a week away! Crazy how fast it snuck up on me even though it felt like forever.
  16. Pre-Op started today......

  17. I must say I have had some food funerals for some food but have not been "last suppering". I start my 1 week pre op diet tomorrow and tonight I am going to dinner at one of our favorite restaurant's. Today is my last day of freedom. This last weekend was my last time grocery shopping for our current lifestyle. Lots of lasts this week and its been emotional in a way. I am ready to say good bye to this life and be a healthier happy me. Just letting go of EVERYTHING has been kind of tough. I want to take some photos so I can look back and see the changes. Does any one else have body issues to the point you don't want to take before photos. I know I need to but idk if I am embarrassed or what it is.....

    Liquid Phase

Favorite go to food/drinks during liquid phase. And go.....

    Liquid Phase

Have been nervous about being nauseous. I hope I don't deal with this a whole lot and if I do it doesn't last long
  20. AshMarie794

    Liquid Phase

I CAN NOT STAND THE PP SHAKES! So that is what made me question the waters. I will have to stick with my propel I like and add my unflavored protein to it. I have chosen to go with UNjury protein shakes and powder. Which are amazing. They have a chicken soup flavor protein powder and it is so good. Will be using that for broth. I've even made a batch of veggie soup that I have waiting in the freezer for me to blend up once I get to puree. Just trying to come up with ideas that maybe I haven't thought of.

    Liquid Phase

I most def plan on doing both. Has anyone tried the premier protein waters? Any opinions?

How much time off from work?

I am taking a total of 12 days off work. But I have a desk job so that I think plays a part. You could always go back with restrictions if you have a job that you had to be on your feet or do any bending and lifting.
  24. My case was sent off to insurance this morning.... Now just that awful waiting game :(

  25. Today I am racking my nerves for this apt. I have already been through this process before and was denied so doing it again it has been hard to deal with. Mentally its hard to stay positive about it. BUT today I will sign my consent for surgery and I already have my day booked. I just hope things go well. So with this apt I am debating buying my vitamins today. How many of you started your vitamins prior to surgery? I will talk to him about this today but don't know if it is really necessary to get them now or at my post op visit. My shipment of my protein came yesterday and that was the first thing for surgery and life after that I have purchased. Exciting to see that box. Its getting real.
