  1. The theory is: it introduces extra air into your healing sleeve or pouch. So you have increased pain and trouble burping it back up. All kinds of surgeons hold to that premise, maybe their instructors and professors drummed into their dear little heads in medical school. My feeling? Try it, if it doesn't bother you, do it on The sly. Just don't tell Senor Medico, they'll get all bent out of shape. If tongue lashings are your thing, go ahead and come clean! 3. Where in Pennsylvania are you? I am in Central Ohio but we have many Keystone staters on here. Mattymatt must live around Philly but he had his bypass this week in a hospital in Delaware. Getting along super good. We had poster on from Pittsburgh last week but I forget his name. Bottom line, welcome to Bariatric Pal. We hope you'll like us, we hope you stay with us and we hope most of all you'll want to be our friend! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. This is what I love about Bariatric Pal--- when you have a problem they gather around and wrap you in a warm quilt of advice and concern. Thank you for all you've helped me with!!! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. @Creekimp13 you just brought up a point for me to puzzle about. I am postmenopausal (praises be) due to age not surgery. As I start fervent weight loss post-surgery ( and things are looking like that could occur) and all the hormones and other chemicals are released from my " chicken fat" could I have some late drippage from my nether regions? I have heard you sisters who are still cycling have heavy or prolonged discharging? Am I exempt? Oh I hope I hope, don't want to drag my tired tushie onto Dr Prior's bench of shame! I offered myself up for a hysterectomy several years ago and he wasn't interested. Sad when you can't even pay a man to look down there! Sniffle boo hoooo sniffle! 6. Just heard from OSU Bariatrics yesterday (March 14th) I now have a firm 2-hour appointment with their staff psychologist April 25th. I had attended a seminar last Friday at Martha MorehousePavilion at OSU, took my son along . I'm widowed(almost 6 years) and he is my main support person and my best bud! That is program #2 for me, after a relationship dating back to August 2015, completing all prerequirements my insurance and they had given me, and thinking I was waiting on surgery scheduling, they "kicked me to the curb". The 3 surgeons had themselves a little commitee meeting and decided not to perform my surgery. My PCP surmised maybe they were scared of my age causing a death on the operating table, shoot I was 69 when I started going there, did they think I was suddenly start subtracting years? I wish deep in my heart I could sue them for breach of promise or something, the receptionist that called me back that day was apologetic in a very insincere tone. Left me feeling I was a defective person and said some hurtful things about my emotional and psychological fitness before hanging up. Told,me I should seek counselling, how can I do that when I Have Done nothing wrong? I'm sure I am well rid of them but it hurts to trust someone implicitly and find your trust is misplaced. And a Center of Excellence no less! Maybe I was naive about how the world really is. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. My sympathy on the noxious wind with the evil hang time. If you were a 10 year old boy you would be so proud of your self! Perspective is everything isn't it? But ROFLMAO better you than me! I'm sure your colon is just dispensing surgery waste products, wanna borrow my cowbell so you can warn people you're coming? This too shall pass but no one mentioned the pressure with which it departs. My family, flatulent souls that they be, lives by the adage If it Don't pay rent, kick it out! Keep the faith. I'm going off of timeline, next section to the right says forums, tap that, it should say weight loss forums, tap that again it should, give you the different catagories, scroll toward the bottom and it's maybe 2 or 3 up from the bottom. That's where I found it.way down below gastric sleeve and gastric bypass, although the DSers visit us there often. I'm a future RnY,myself. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. What will help- is your clothes getting bigger as you get smaller. And maybe new pants, I look forward to getting back into jeans. So often when you're at the upper end in ladies the slacks are boxer waist and the colors are plug -ugly, the tops are poorly cut. I want to get small enough I can wear levis and nice graphic tees that aren't always guy ones. &,want to,look blob-less in them. I guess I want to look like a girl again instead,of just BIG. Maybe that sounds vain. And Lord Forgive me but I want a bona fide wolf whistle instead of thinking the guy sprung a leak like a deflating balloon. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. It will, a lot of people complain about the thickness and have diluted it half and half. Jersey Girl is active so you by far are not the only Garden Stater.it is good you had a good experience and have a great surgeon and a decent office staff to work with. It sounds strange but we do some times have newbies coming on who have not made a relationship with a surgeon.so hearing about good Bariatrics and good, locations are cool. 22. @luvabull2 welcome, glad to meet you. This is a busy night, a lot of new friends showing up. This is obviously a gangbusters month in Bariatrics, the surgeons have been busy. How are you recovering from your March 7th surgery? Have you got rid of your water weight? How are you doing with the fluids? Are you getting in 64 oz like the doctors usually want you to?Tell us where you live, where did you have your surgery? Did you like your surgeon, would you recommend it to another?I know I'm asking a lot of things but we sure would like to know you better. And we,hope youll hang with us a while. 23. Good news my friends. I received a call from OSU Bariatrics this afternoon. I have a firm 2 hour appointment with their staff psychologist Dr Kramer Wednesday April 28th.
