  1. hi all, I'm new from Tampa, FL, i got banded 4/2 at Tampa General (Dr Murr) so far I've lost 13 lbs since banded. looking forward to really having success along with others on the boards. best regards, Jay B
  2. anyone know of any support groups in North Tampa? The only one I know of is at Tampa General once/month (its actually a long drive from where I live). I live in New Tampa, almost in Pasco County. Does anyone know if University Community Hospital provides post op support groups?
  3. almost anything from the 80's makes me feel good (flock of seagulls, bananarama, duran duran, van halen, motley crue, bon jovi, etc..) techno/dance is also awesome. the soundtracks to the movie "Swordfish" and "The Matrix" are great too. I bought a Sirius Stiletto- its a handheld satellite radio, its got lots of awesome stations, plus it also has alot of my own MP3 music. have fun!
  4. I got banded 4/2. I feel light-headed. I'm not on pain meds, so that's not the cause. spoke to a nurse, said to make sure I'm drinking Water (I am). I'm sure its my brain missing the calories (glucose).
  5. i have kept my coffee, my dr said it was okay, (just avoid sugar). i feel fine. no ill effects. if I had to give up coffee, the withdrawls would suck..!
  6. i got banded last week, 4/2, and have also had the pain in the neck (left). hopefully it will go away, it can be somewhat debilitating and distracting.
