How many of you were on antidepressants/anxiety meds when you had the surgery? How did you do having surgery? I’m on Effexor XR and the side effects can be pretty bad when I don’t take my meds. They said I can take them the morning of surgery but I’m worried I won’t be able to keep them down the first few day. It’s one of my main concerns.

I was nervous as well but I kept thinking once that weight starts coming off it will be all worth it. The best part is the anesthesia I my surgery was on 1st of February in the morning I slept all day and most of the next. The important thing is to keep sipping water or ask for ice chips. Day 2 if you feel like it the best thing is to get up and walk a little bit it helps. My hospital here in Australia gives you opti fast after the op and it tastes like crap . So I just stuck to water and Luke warm black tea . Make sure to ask for pain relief if you need it they offer endone here but it makes you constapated so be careful 😀

I am planning on having surgery March 26th but I keep going back and forth if I’m going to do it or not. I have lost almost 40lbs on my own since I have started this process. I just keep wondering if I can do it without being sleeved. I have heard some horror stories about the way you feel after surgery and I just worry I’m going to feel sick for longer than I originally expected. I have a hard time recovering from the flu how will my body react to major surgery?!?! Has anyone gone through the whole process then backed out?
