  8. I have a history of horrendous cycles and I have an appointment Monday to finally get an IUD (Mirena). I told my surgeon of my plan at our first initial appointment and he said it would not be a concern. I’m really hoping this is the answer to all the issues I have with my cycle but at the same time I don’t want any interference with my Weight loss/VSG process. Just wondering if any of you ladies who have or have had IUD notice any changes since surgery. Should I wait to get the IUD til afterwards or go with my initial plan? I figure if my surgeon isn’t concern I shouldn’t be but I can’t help but wonder anyway.

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

I’m excited for you! I Think we all have done our fair share of research and some lol. Now it’s just the waiting game and preparing. As much as I think I’m ready I’m sure there will be some stumbling blocks along the way but I know all our journeys will be different. That’s part of the reason why I vlog on YouTube because Id like to go back to see where I am now and where I’m going to be a year from now. Best wishes

Any one in Jacksonville Florida ?

I’m having my surgery at Memorial in May. I wanted to know if you can tell me if they provide private recovery rooms after surgery? I’ve heard some hospitals have you sharing rooms with other Bariatric patients.

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

You are right this is a very serious process and the effort that we are putting ourselves through to go through it is the real deal! We have to give support to each other and in some situations tough love. Just because the sacrifices are nothing to play with and the amount of money, time and emotional energy itself is a lot. There are some forums specifically for those who are seeking information or the interest alone in the surgery and that may be a better place to find the answers to the questions being ask. Not to say we won’t help but this one is more so for those who are already in the program and are having surgery around the same time (April/May) so we can share our journey and support each other. However, with all that being said I recommend her and anyone seeking information to contact your local Bariatric Center and go to a seminar these are no cost to you. They are set up to help you understand the basics. Good luck to everyone and I hope this is something we don’t have to continue to address. Let’s continue to support and keep it positive

I agree you definitely want to stay away from that. If you are looking for different options, there are definitely great ways to make good tasting smoothies on your own that are actually good for you.
