Hi everyone. Got my DS Monday morning. Yesterday wasn’t very good. Had nausea and vomiting and lots of pain. Today is somewhat better. Going to try to sip and walk today. Despite the pain I’m happy to be on the losers bench!

Officially post op RNY gastric bypass 2/7/18. All of you will do great. I start my purée diet on Wednesday 2/14 and I am looking forward to it. Been on liquids since February 4th. I could not imagine people that do liquid diets weeks in advance or a month prior. Good luck to all. For me, I still have gas post surgery despite walking. So be prepared for a lot of gas although I hope you all get lucky with no gas pain !!!! Lol....... as of now, my only struggle is getting all my Protein and liquid in , but I am working hard on it. I refuse to get on the scale until I see my doctor on Thursday, but below are STATs as of surgery date.

Ht: 5’6”
HW- 298lbs
SW- 260lbs
CW- N/A
GW-170lbs

I’m the same day! But I start liquid on Monday.

2/23. STart Preop diet Tuesday!

2/22 here! My liquid diet is underway and with a couple of bumps I FINALLY have a handle on it! So hard to believe next week is surgery!!!

2 years for me... I've heard you should wait for a year after your weight has stabilized. That is unless you're planning to have multiple surgeries throughout your weight lots journey to help with mobility, etc.

Needless to say I am disappointed as my surgery scheduled for Monday has been postponed. Why? Because I went to the PCP on Friday Jan 26th for pre-op testing, waited over 1 1/2 hours in a waiting room filled with over 20 people. Several of them were coughing, sneezing and spewling germs all over the place. Come Tuesday Jan 31st I am sick, I told the Dr before I left I knew I would be sick and sure enough. Have meds since Feb 1st but can't get rid of this fast enough and now my surgery is postponed. The 1st PS I had was also postponed. Don't understand why I have such bad luck. The Brachiopplasty has been rescheduled for March 19th. Now I need to get over this illness, stay healthy and stay out of the Doctor's office. I intend to tell the PCP when such sick people come into her waiting room she needs to hand out masks. Had I know I would have brought one with me. You can be assured I will bring one with me from now on.
