Recommendations for sugar free treats please
- I am Severely Obese!
Thanks for providing the chart!- Aetna Insurance
I also have Aetna and I had a response within a few days, but our plans may be different. The thing Aetna threw at me last minute is the surgery had to be at a hospital considered a "center of excellence". I am in the Chicagoland area and there are only 9 hospitals with the closest being 40 minutes away that are centers of excellence. Of course my surgeon didn't have privileges at that hospital so last minute everything got tossed into a whirlwind. Your plan might not require this, however mine did.- First Nutrition Visit
My appointments usually started with weigh in and BP. The appointments were quick and I saw a weight loss DR and a nutritionist, and we spoke about refining my diet pre-surgery. Mine put me on a 100 grams of Carbs or less/day eating plan. No calorie limit - think Keto. I had to show that I was able to lose. I dropped 26 lbs in the 3 mos prior to surgery. I am still seeing my nutritionist but now it is every other month. I have Aetna Ins.- Hello hello
Welcome Shells83! It sounds like you are doing all the right things to get to the losers' bench.- Recommendations for sugar free treats please
I have to say that Jello-o SF chocolate pudding is my go to treat. I have also tried the Enlightened "ice cream" bars once a week (my nutritionist approved) which also has protein in it (they are low sugar not SF). I have also made homemade Keto "brownies" which are completely SF and were delicious. Texture reminded me more of a cheesecake than a brownie when refrigerated. If you'd like the recipe, I will be happy to share.- NSV Today!
How exciting! I can't wait to join you. Congrats!- It’s hard to believe...
AWESOME! Do a little dance, you deserve to party!!- I am Severely Obese!
You are so right, I am very happy. I also just noticed I am under 100 lbs to my goal weight. Good day for me.- I am Severely Obese!
Plenty of room on this bench for you to join me! You are doing great.- Started process
Congratulations for starting this amazing journey!- I am Severely Obese!
I am celebrating breaking my stall and moving from Morbidly Obese to Severely Obese today! BMI started at 49.4 and I am down to 39.8!!! I am having a very happy start to my day. HW: 308 Starting Weight: 297 Surgery Weight: 270 CW: 239- Are you “less sweaty”?
I have noticed I am less sweaty, and like others are tending to be cold now. I used to sweat walking into the building for work from my car and that no longer happens.- Working after Gastric bypass
I went back to my desk job working remotely 4 days after surgery. I ended up off the entire next week because of fatigue. It was more than I could handle and I napped a lot which is completely NOT like me. I hope this works out and you don't over do it.- Down a size!!
That is awesome!- GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
My weight loss journey started with me at my high weight of 308. On day of surgery I was 270 and now I am down to 241. TWL = 67lbs. I was wearing a size 26/28/3x but now am down to 2x in most everything - depends on the style. I am 10 weeks postop now. I am struggling with only losing 29lbs since surgery. I feel like it should be more based on what I see others losing.- Pain after Vitamins
No issues here with swallowing a vitamin pill except if my stomach is completely empty. I have a supplement/med cocktail I take in the morning of about 11 pills so I need to eat first and then I am good to go.- Yummy lunch pic today!
I'll be right over!- So Sore ???
I hope you feel better soon. My surgeon did a patch behind my ear for nausea and it made the world of difference for me. I did have a heck of a time pushing liquids and ended up back at the ER a week afterwards because I became dehydrated. So if you can tolerate it, sip as much as you can. Hang in there.- Face to Face Friday a little early
Me either! I am also really ready for a 3 day weekend.- Face to Face Friday a little early
Thank you for the kind words.- Face to Face Friday a little early
Thank you!- Face to Face Friday a little early
Here's a picture of me a year ago on vacation and another of me from last night. This is the first photo I have taken since my sleeve on 3/16/2018. This is the first time I am actually SEEING any change. When I look in the mirror I see the same person on the left when I was at my HW of 308lbs. This morning I was weighed in when I saw one of the many docs we see, and was 242lbs. I can't wait to put the next version of me next to these 2 pictures.- Taken One Year apart
