First Nutrition Visit

Hi all,

I have my first nutrition visit appointment tomorrow. I only need 3 as required for my insurance. Curious as to how the visit goes and what to expect and how long it will be.

All of these plans are so different that it is hard to say what will be covered on your first visit. Three is not very many so I would think that they will cover a lot. Ask questions and take notes. Most will have written information to send home with you.

I had so much that I bought a binder and hole punch just to keep it all organized.

Good luck!

My appointments usually started with weigh in and BP. The appointments were quick and I saw a weight loss DR and a nutritionist, and we spoke about refining my diet pre-surgery. Mine put me on a 100 grams of Carbs or less/day eating plan. No calorie limit - think Keto. I had to show that I was able to lose. I dropped 26 lbs in the 3 mos prior to surgery. I am still seeing my nutritionist but now it is every other month. I have Aetna Ins.
