  3. How are all the February sleevers doing? How about updates?
I'll be 6 weeks post-op on Monday. Everything's going pretty well except that my mid-section is still very tender. Not the incisions, they're healed, but about a 3-in spot halfway between by sternum and my belly button. Anyone else have that?

Hello, I experienced the same exact thing. It seemed everybody healed by the first week except me. And I was still very tender and even getting sharp pains on my right side. It was really annoying bc I wanted to start strength training by the 6th week but was still in pain. I could stretch or reach for anything without being in pain. I’m on my 8th week tomorrow. It’s better but still get that side pain if I bend down to get something. Hang in there

  4. I’ve been at a stall, I’m having a challenging time trying to meet the well the Water requirements and so I have hit a wall and since last Friday I’ve haven’t lost any more weight it’s been at a stall just wait for my body to catch up, Anybody out there in the same situation as I am and has surpassed this ordeal LOL

Same here. scale hasn’t moved. If anything up a pound. And I’ve been walking more. 🤨 water and Protein is a daily challenge

  6. This just happened to me, I was 3 wks out from surgery and I had to have my gallbladder removed. It is frustrating I know but you will get through this. Keep your head up!

And when did you start experiencing pain? What kind of pain was it? Did they do any tests to show it was the gallbladder? Sorry just curious and nervous again. Thought the worst was behind me

  7. Saw my doctor.. he mentioned Neosporin with pain relief ointment. I bought it and incisions feel better.

Just got really bad news from my doctor’s visit today about the pain I’m experiencing. I just want to cry. He said it most likely my gallbladder and will need surgery again to remove it. I’m so upset. I’m scared, frustrated and really regretting this whole thing. From all the research I’ve done, never knew my gallbladder would be affected with weight loss and he did not mention it. WTF!
    Feeling so down

  8. Same here. I was sleeved on 2/21. Pains when I stretch or stay put for a long time. Seeing doctor in Tuesday. Hopefully he has some answers.

Let me know how your doctors visit went please. I don’t see mine until tomorrow and experiencing a lot of sharp pain. I was sleeved 02/12. Pain should have reduced and seems it’s getting worst. I’m getting really worried

  9. Hi all, I got sleeved 2/26, anyone experience right midsection pain around the incision, still dealing with pain and discomfort around this area. Anyhow, 6 days post op and I also haven’t pooped in 5 days, any advice is appreciated.

I was sleeved 2/12 and still experiencing midsection pain. It’s pretty sharp and constant. Happens when I’m stretching, bending and even when I’m just been sitting too long. Really annoying and frustrating. I’m going to see my Dr. this coming week. My incision are fine but that damn pain is keeping me down.

  10. So I’m 15 days (3weeks) post op. I am doing fine with liquids sometimes. Sometimes it’s hard to drink so much Water. But what’s bothering me is that I am still having pain. And I’ve checked them, they’re healing fine, no redness, no fever. This pain is sharp above my large incision. And It feels very tender around that whole area.

Had my one week apt. Last week and I felt good but then again I did take some Tylenol earlier since I did return back to work. My Dr. said the area where I am in pain is where he made some incisions from the inside. Idk. He did say that it should go away within another week. But it seems like it hasn’t gotten any better. It hurts when I’m in bed and I stretch, hurts when I reach for something and hurts when I’m sitting too long (at work).

    Has anyone experienced this.?

  11. Had my sleeve surgery 2/6/18 so today is three weeks Post-op and I get to start the purée diet! For Breakfast I managed 2tbsp of puréed hard boiled egg...it still boggles my mind that that’s all I can eat before feeling absolutely stuffed. My energy is ok...not great...but I’ve been getting to the YMCA 2-3 days a week and swimming my laps, so hopefully that changes soon.

My starting weight was 416lbs. So I was much bigger at the start than most of you ladies (though I’m told I carried it well). As of last Friday I am down 40lbs (20 during pre-op liquid diet and 20 post-surgery) and I am over the moon happy about that!! I have a LONG way to go, but I got a great start and hopefully the weight will continue at this rate for at least one more month (two more would be incredible).

Glad to hear how everyone is doing!!

    Great job!

  12. It definitely comes down to your personal tastes, but...I ordered Tropical Coconut and Mixed Berry from Amazon last week and I think they are pretty good. They definitely have a unique flavor, but I do not feel like they are too sweet. They are a good change up from the thick shakes. I really want to find a small pack of Premier Protein Water to try and compare. I have heard those are pretty tasty too.

I saw those at Sam’s too. Will be trying those next

  13. Policeman2345 if you're a 1st responded thank you for your service. Don't be anxious, look how far you've come on this journey, tomorrow is going to be a day of rebirth for you. They will give you relaxing medication before, the common name for the oral is the Don't give A S**** pill, some people get it in a powdered form under their tongue, some in their IV, don't matter because it all works. You'll drop off into a nice peaceful sleep when you wake up you'll be in the recovery room being attended to by techs and nurses. Some people are uncomfortable, many aren't. When it's time you'll go back to your room. I'd like to tell you they'll let you just lie there and rest, not gonna happen. They will have you up and doing laps around the unit. Nah they aren't being mean, they don't want you developing blood clots in your legs and believe you me you don't want them either. I don't envy you being a guy, Foley catheters are nasty enough,in girls, but a guy.-

Do I have to draw you a picture of it all or can you mentally see it? You will want that bugger REMOVED.

Will it hurt? Well, everybody has a different pain tolerance, one person said it was like being stabbed multiple times, which I guess you really are, another felt bloated, another like too many situps in a row. I'm holding on for my own to my friend Tammy's assesment. She said it wasn't even as bad as the day her 5 year old head-butted her in the belly. He thought he was a Billy goat. See that's why God gave him to her instead of me, I would have amputated his little horn buds before they ever grew. A limb of Satan was Mr Eric Anthony, yes indeed! Slowly each and every day you're going heal, get stronger until you feel better and better. Although there may be stalls along the way you'll lose weight, get thinner and generally be so proud of yourself. Thus ends my little sermon but I hope it helps. Good luck and hugs for tommorrow.

I actually did not need a foley (thank you Jesus!) I asked if I can go without and they said yeah that the procedure was short

  14. If they aren't healing right you would have reddened areas around them, have discharge coming from them, be raised up instead of flattening out, starting to gape open or threads coming out. If none of these you are probably okay. Remember you don't just have surface healing places, you're still healing down inside your body also. 97% sure you'll be Just fine if you give it time but check with your surgeon's office just to be safe.
