  1. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on Friday, January 19, 2018 and would love to connect with fellow January sleevers! Would love to hear your progress and share some of my stories, struggles, and successes! So far, I've lost 12.6 lbs although that seems to have stopped after the first week of surgery. It's discouraging but I keep reminding myself that this is a process, a journey. I didn't gain the weight overnight so I can't realistically expect to lose it all overnight either. And hey, 12.6 lbs is the most I've ever lost in just a week so I really am not complaining. But I, like many others I suspect, have struggled with my weight so long that I'm just ready for it to be GONE. Rather than focus on what I'm not losing, I am trying to focus on what I have lost, and what I will continue to lose. My weight loss goal is 120 lbs, of which surgery will likely help me lose 60 to 80 lbs. The other 60 to 40 will be up to me - through diet and exercise and a lot of self love and determination. Will I like it? probably not. But will it be worth it? I truly believe it will be, not only because of how much better i'll feel about myself, but because I DESERVE to look and feel my very best. I OWE it to myself. And as much as there will be times when I want to sink into old, bad habits of finding comfort in food, I will remind myself of the gift I have given myself by taking this first step with surgery. so yeah, I'd love to hear where you are with your journey so far. What are some of your wins? What are you doing to reward yourself? So excited to meet you all!

Same here. sleeved on 1/19 and lost 13 lbs the first week then nothing for the second week and half of the third week. Scale finally started to move 2 days ago and today marks 3 weeks since surgery. SW 239.6 CW 225.4. It's slow but the inches are coming off. Start training with a pro trainer next week. Hoping that will give me the boost I need to move the darned needle on the scale. Stomach still pretty sensitive to food. Lots of acid reflux, something I never had 'til surgery. Eating solids but prefer the liquid diet as the solids really set my tummy off. Still avoiding carbs from starches and trying to stick with proteins and nutrient dense veggies. Can't believe it's already 3 weeks.

Hey everyone! I'm so glad y'all are here! So I'm officially two weeks post op and while I feel pretty good, I've got the dreaded two ask weight loss stall after losing 13lbs. Trying to stay positive and just focus on doing what the Dr indicated. Reading all of y'all's posts is great - it's nice to know others going through some of the same things. My biggest challenge so far is the stomach gurgles that occur right after I eat. These are awful and even somewhat uncomfortable and often result in my getting the hiccups which hurts! Anyone else experiencing this?

Yay! How fun to find a sleeve twin! Be sure to take biotin to reduce hair loss and vitamins to make sure your body is getting what it needs. Drink your protein shakes and just follow your Surgeons plan and you'll do great!

We are twins, as I had my sleeve done the same day and I'm at 13lbs lost too. I seem to have stalled so I'm trying not to get discouraged. Hope your recovery is nearly complete and that you find yourself chewing food again soon
