And I've been widowed 5 1/2 years, I hope it isn't like all the guys told me " If you don't use it You lose it" want something in reserve in case Mr Wonderful comes along. Don't want Mr Barely Breathing, Mr What did you say, Honey? or Mr Just turn the electric blanket,on to medium. Want one that can generate his own heat.

Yeah I agree with a couple women. Scrolling through this thread I was taken back a bit by your tone and "positivity" you are spreading so I had to comment. You asking "have you been to the gym today?" Or telling people to be productive...that tone isn't a positive one in the way you ask. It's abrasive and is meant in a hurtful way. Let's be honest here.
Also, it seems that you agressively respond to anyone who has a differing opinion than yours or calls you out on your tone or responses.
You putting people down is not cool. The people that commented who found you to also be aggressive also had several people who liked their posts which means they agree too.
I'm just a little confused and taken back by the arrogance and aggression in your comments to people.
As I'm wrapping this comment up, I'm thinking about how you are going to spread positivity in your comment back.
I'll answer your positive questions anyways...
-No, I did not go to the gym today.
-I did do something productive today. I productively ate a taco that was effing delicious and I'm gonna walk my ass around a little later.

    stay golden.

"Also what’s up with people who haven’t even had surgery just putting there opinions everywhere"
It's a message board. That's what people do on message boards. The woman who did that to you recently wasn't being rude. She's 72 and she thought she was being helpful.

Had my first appointment , went well. He suggested I stay at 40 until the day of surgery so there is no denying my coverage.

Since the bypass I have not had any heartburn or nausea. It’s been pretty amazing. My only regret is not having the bypass the first time around.

My heart goes out to you because this could have been any one of us. My main suggestion is PRAY...ask the Lord to cover you and heal you and give you direction...he can do the impossible just talk to him, cry out to him..he already knows hes just waiting for you to give it to him...BY HIS STRIPES YOU ARE HEALED IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME....#prayerchangesthings

15 lbs my first month, but I was 44, entering menopause, and just barely into the morbidly obese range. Biggest loss from high weight to low weight was 92 lbs, which lasted about a day and half lol... my stable loss was 86 lbs.
My son on the other hand, being male, 26 at the time of his surgery, and way into the morbidly obese range....he lost 30 lbs his first month, never stalled, and is maintaining a 195-lb loss two years out. It'll be more than that when he gets the skin taken care of (he's too skinny now, at 6'4" and 190 lbs).

At my first meeting, I got weighed, then met with the surgeon. We talked about my medical history and goals, and then we ended up talking about energy policy, because thats what I do professionally and he was pretty curious. After that, I met with a nurse or tech (I'm not sure) who handed me a binder of information and medical orders for tests, and walked me through it. Finally, the receptionist set up a number of subsequent appointments.
ETA, I was pretty nervous, too! It'll be easy :-)

hope4momof4, wow great start, 7 pounds in 1st week! Congrats and so nice to see teenager's noticing the improvements (that is not easy recognition to get!). Awesome that your energy level is up and you hare having a similar experience of no cravings. Don't forget to enjoy that extra energy being active with your teens, that will surprise them even more. Ease back into the exercise and keep the faith on what you are eating. Keep sharing, again great job!

Hello all! It’s been exactly one week since my Esg procedure. I saw my doc yesterday and it looks like since my procedure day 2/6 I’ve lost 7 pounds. I’m extremely excited because I’m starting to notice it in how my clothes fit. My doc has cleared me for cardio exercise but still no heavy lifting or over exertion for fear of stretching or breaking the sutures.
I’m on full liquids now and not finding it extremely difficult as long as I get in enough Protein which on average is 85-100g per day. I also feel like I have more energy and not much fatigue at all. This part amazes me considering I’m not taking in more than 700-800 calories a day max. Pre-esg this wasn’t possible except when I crashed Diet and even then of course that was definitely not sustainable.
Incredible how Tex and Mel were right that this was how I’d feel post esg. No cravings for sweets—gone, so far. And I feel like I have energy to complete everything I need to during my day with time to spare. (You were right Mel, my home has never been cleaner!!)
On a funny but happy side note, my teenage kids even noticed I lost some weight. That is an accomplishment because my boys hardly notice anything.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the weight will continue to come off. Hopefully now I’m that I’m exercising it will. Till next time guys. Please keep posting. 💝💝💝
